I know on a certain level it you drive to a liquor store, you drive to a gas station - no difference.

Up until about the early 1990's, there was a combination shooting range and tavern in Tampa called Magnums. It was a split building with separate entrances in a common lobby. You walked in and to the left was the front door of the bar. On the right was the door to the range. You could even rent guns by the hour to shoot. As long as you weren't noticeably intoxicated, you could have some drinks, walk across the lobby, and go shoot guns.

That does sound pretty rad. However, having known folks who could appear not intoxicated while in fact operating in a full alcoholic blackout, the combo would concern me.

It concerned me as well. Not surprisingly, it closed down under less than sunny circumstances. I don't remember the whole story, but something about the sketchy owners and possibly a murder or unnatural death of some kind. The building is torn down now with something new there. The bowling alley next door is still there - smoked a ton of poopty weed and drank a ton of cheap poopty beer in that parking lot when I was in my late teens.
