Your first choice will have his choice of where to go in the league, Buffalo will have to overpay due to competition. Do you believe Adams is willing to overpay for depth players?

Do you think GM's and agents, who have options, have Buffalo as high on the list of desired destinations?

Bargain shopping continues in Buffalo - unless there is a dramatic shift in Adams plan that he is admitting to sticking to (minus meatball).

All Adams has done so far, in addition to hoarding draft picks, is overpay depth players.

Would be nice if they finally overpaid one who is actually a good player, instead of the poop show we've seen the past 2 to 3 seasons.

Since Adams has become the GM, he has had to overpay mediocre players just to come to Buffalo, what has happened to assume this has changed?

None have worked out, now all of a sudden Adams is going big game hunting and will succeed?

The Lindy madness going on here assuming narratives have changed is going to be a fun ride, lets see how many months this sticks around.

Besides this past season.

The mediocre players Adams had signed were place holders for the kids in roch to graduate.

This season….. it killed us

Not trying to start a fight, just a genuine question:

Going into the 24/25 season, would you rather have Eichel @ $10mm or Dahlin @$11mm...the rest of the roster remains the same.

You can only have one on the roster.

They've overpaid so many bums the past 3 seasons that it is difficult to keep track of them all.

IMO it's due to the horrible brand the Sabres have become under Pegula, Lindy coming home at 64 years old, doesn't repair that.

Easy problem to solve, just keep extending Girgs.

This is exactly what happens when you suck for so long... You have to overpay, the upside is if we can by the grace of god, start to get in the playoffs players will want to play here. They want to win and compete for the cup. I would totally over pay for players like Kane, Stamkos a trade for John T. we need to get veteran scoring in here and I mean players that can still actually score...

Roster remains the same, the only change would be one of Dahlin or Eichel on the roster.

Peterka Eichel (insert prospect)
Skinner Tage Quinn
Benson Cozens Tuch
X Krebs Greenway

Power Byram
Samuelsson R. Johnson
Joker Clifton

I would feel the roster is more balanced this way, and adding a Jeanott to fight/spark the crowd makes more sense.

Losing Dahlin would be a blow, but it could wake up a monster in Power, who currently is living the backup QB lifestyle.

Just an interesting thought I had.

Do you think one of the current Sabres centers could carry a prospect on their line?

Do any of the current Sabres centers make their linemates better?

Depends on what you define as suck, he would bring much needed intangibles to this soft roster....for example, see Adams attempt to toughen up the roster that resulted in:

My perfect scenario is that Dahlin/Power play on separate pairs and basically own the ice for 51ish of the 60 minutes available to play.

I think Tage is a viable 1C.

I think the need could be a 2C.

Cozens might be a better winger or championship caliber 3C

I think they placed their bet on Cozens as 2C, with Mitts as a viable option. I think he'll be fine.

Does this org really have championship caliber offensive talent? I'm skeptical. Feels like they are walking into a situation of overpaying a lot of players who are just pretty good.

Touché, I agree with this.

Ruff has to light a fire under Power, you can't use age, Benson was 18....
