Peterka and Quinn didn’t crack the NHL lineup until their D+3 year.

Kulich, Ostlund, Savoie are entering their D+3 seasons this coming October.

The only prospect behind schedule really is Rosen, and quite frankly he very well could have played more games this past season but the consensus was to do the ELC slide.

Logan Stankoven is in his D+3 season, played half of the year in the AHL, and is now skating next to Johnston and Benn on a team with cup aspirations.

This isn’t the NFL gents, it’s extremely normal for prospects to take 2-3 years to make the show

is it not too much to expect 50 points out of 1 of those guys

you guys are creaming over benson so expecting 45 to 50 points should not be a stretch in year 2

Rosen didn't slide last season. He's too old for that.

It's reasonable to say no one is behind schedule today, but they should all be expected to make a contribution this season to stay that way.

I think expecting that of Benson is reasonable if he's put in position to do so

The others I'm not sure how if we are supposed to have a revamped bottom 6 and adding a top 6 forward

Adams is talking a big game and if he does it he will just block the prospects again anyways. Which im fine with if it means wins

Funny, isn't it? Expecting a big jump from Benson at 19, but not the others at 20/21. It shouldn't be a given that Benson is that far ahead of any of them.

Reeds like you're implying that Eichel hates to lose and Dahlin likes mild chicken wings....

I do think Benson is going to come in around 45-50 points this coming season.

Benson is also the best Sabres forward prospect we have drafted since Eichel. I’d even go as far as to put him neck and neck with Reinhart.

Special talent, hence why him sticking in the league at 18 and driving play on top of that was such a big deal.

Jack Eichel is a gigantic douchebag. But he is one of the most well-rounded offensive players in the game. He isn't going to win a selke like Barkov, and he isn't going to score 100 points a year, but he is fantastic along the boards and in the corners. He is everything we needed him to be... except a leader. In fact, he has proven to be the complete opposite of a leader.

It only works in Vegas or Boston. It didn't work here but Buffalo is a city full of cucks, desperate for a leader, even if he hates them. Which he does, trust me. He hates all of us. He needs a restaurant full of cooks where the head chef only shows up for the big banquets.

All that said, he had everything he asked for, everything he needed and then some here in Buffalo and him and Reinhart couldn't get it done until they were a supporting cast. Plain and simple.

Thompson's 45/45 year was a complete fluke, imo. He's still a 60-70 point guy, but he is more of a Vanek-type than an Eichel type. Deceptively fast, smooth hands, great in limited space, and watch out when he does get space... but he is lanky and injury prone, inconsistent and uptight.

What Thompson did with Skinner as his winger was 2x what Eichel did with Skinner as his winger. He has the ability to elevate players around him. Eichel needs players to mesh with his style - He's a Crosby type. He wants it his way and if he feels like he isn't getting it, he will cry about it. Crosby is twice the player he is so no one cares.

Eichel disclosed his own confidential medical records, conversations and opinion. He put an entire organization and business on blast, to the media. He committed sins that in my eyes, were unforgiveable from an ethics standpoint. I also don't think he should have gotten the surgery, and that's coming from experience with the same exact injury.

Thompson is a top-6 player. Eichel is a bonafide line 1 center. I think if we're going by pure skill, metrics, everything considered, Eichel is the player I pick every single time, unless I have to build my team around him. But then, I'm not building a team around Thompson, either.

I'm not a huge Dahlin fan but I would pick him over both if I had to choose between the three.

I don't see either as top end, but I like Benson more atm. He'll be a good two-way middle six guy, not a lot of risk there.

Benson slipping to 13 is going to get a lot of GM’s fired.

I won’t be here to say I told you so, but the real ones will remember

You’re lame attempt at building drama for your voluntary departure is worse than your Benson take.

It will not get even one GM fired, ever, except maybe the one who actually drafted him.
