Buffalo has got to be the least attractive option in the NHL for goalies. Everyone saw how they just handled Comrie and how they'd be wedged between UPL and Levi.

There's enough out there in FA this off-season for the Sabres to fill every need, and reasonably. Unfortunately most probably won't come here.

No, but Adams hasn't done anything to make it easy for him to make Trades either. Basically anyone with a Clause in there contract is of the list. |

Grab a solid 3rd line center so he doesn't have so many d-zone starts and he should flourish. |

If they go after someone decent, the team has to give some assurances that, barring injury or horrible play by one of the NHL goalies, Levi is going to spend another year in Rochester (which isn't the worst idea, imo).
If they feel Levi is ready, then you play him 25-30 games (unless UPL is just killing it, and then Lindy is riding him, which doesn't help with Levi's development).
And if the team breaks camp and Levi isn't ready, well, you've (frank)ed yourself again. Quite the pickle.
Send the kid to the AHL for one more year. Simplest solution. |
