If they go after someone decent, the team has to give some assurances that, barring injury or horrible play by one of the NHL goalies, Levi is going to spend another year in Rochester (which isn't the worst idea, imo).

If they feel Levi is ready, then you play him 25-30 games (unless UPL is just killing it, and then Lindy is riding him, which doesn't help with Levi's development).

And if the team breaks camp and Levi isn't ready, well, you've (frank)ed yourself again. Quite the pickle.

Send the kid to the AHL for one more year. Simplest solution.

What is a KA assurance worth these days? Guaranteed Levi the #1 job a year ago, now he's going to guarantee someone else that Levi won't even play in the NHL? Why would anyone believe him?

Who looks good? ...and is also willing to sign with a team willing to carry 3G and staple someone to the bench

It's just the the world of backups goalies, the ones who look good in a small sample size for a year or two get a better opportunity and falter. Exceptions are rare.

And he helped on the goal before. Kids 21 and is the best energizer in the league since he joined the Strangers. He'll learn to pick his spots.

Grab a borderline guy IF you can. If you're spending more than 5 minutes on a goalie this off-season you're time is being wasted.

Color me skeptical on acquiring Cirelli. Very high acquisition cost, and the running Cap Hit isn't a steal either at $6.25m x 7 years for a 40 Pt guy...Yes, very good defensively, and possession wise, yet not all that good on the dot and throws less hits than Roger Crozier in his hey day.
For a 3C, I would definitely look around myselfie.
