Don't know if it was the Bottle of Wine or 6 7@7's I had at Aroma last night. But Fitz was out on Elmwood Ave. Walking last night!

I usually don't go to many Italian Restaurants, you get used to Certain Cooking and it just tastes like Sh!t most times Out. Well met some friends out at Aroma on Bryant St., cozy little place. Waiting for my Bread to come out, who the F@ck charges for bread in a Italian Restaurant. I had to ask the Waiter. Blasphemy! Next gonna be paying for Ice.

no upgrades for D?

I don't see Adams doing that this year, no. Top 4 = Dahlin, Power, Bryam, Samuelsson. I see them letting that ride and see how it looks. Us8ng different combinations thereof. Johnson and Cliffy on 3rd Pairing.

For a 2nd and middle (B) prospect, say Rousek...sure, sign me up.
Doubt that is the return though.
Probably not the best fit for 3C here, outside of pts, he doesn't check alot of boxes.
Good potential though.

Think Adams will have his hands full getting players that fit what he wants to come here. A few players he could trade for that don't have Clauses that could help. Gonna be interesting to see how the Summer shakes out.

top 5 needs a plan B for quinn and samuelsson IMO as they both miss a lot of games

I do like Samuelsson, but I think I would trade him if I had a chance to get something decent. Say that Middle 6 player.

You know Adams answer...we may not agree with it, but...
-F backups: whoever remains from Kulich, Rosen, Savoie
-D backups: they re-sign Bryson, he's the 7th D

Love those scouting reports.
Like I said, Frost doesn't check what I consider to be Sabres needs in 3C...
▪︎0.40+ ppg
▪︎scrappy style, element of physicality (hits is a commen stat used)
▪︎good on the dot...>52%
▪︎good possession metrics (>50%) while not being sheltered (<50 Oz starts)

He hasn't yet hit those, he is highly sheltered and is not physical.
Has ample opportunity to improve...kid could be very good, like a Mitts over time.

If Joker, Bryson, and Clifton are back, that's a lame summer.

He has to use Joker's RFA rights in a trade, right?
I can't imagine people lining up to take on Cliffys contract..one or the other has to go.
Bryson played the 7 D role well, played decent overall when he had to play

We'll see. All 3 contracts make things a challenge. The 2 QO's at least warrant a discussion in the front office. Bryson's is too high and Joker filing has to scare them.

I think they are clearly missing a top 4 piece and KA just might get serious about that this summer. Joker, Samuelsson, and Clifton are a stretch and inconsistent when asked to do too much. Getting the feeling Johnson won't be in Buffalo to start the season.

what I found funny, was for the skilled stuff his numbers were almost identical to cozens

So it is interesting.
I liked your idea of "target higher" than 3C. I don't see Adams displacing Cozens at 2C unless the right deal came along. To me, one "right deal" is getting Tavares in some complicated deal for Skinner (i.e. 3rd party team to retain on Skinner, making him more appealing cost wise).

In that case, I can see Cozens getting pushed down for a couple years. In that scenario, Cozens should then be focused on improving his 2way game and improving on the dot, all while not deep 6ing his offensive game. That would make him far more valuable in a couple years in returning to the 2C spot

I would be open to moving tage and or cozens to the wing if the right guys were brought in
