Willy is a ONCE 90+ pts winger.
Once.
During a contract year. - Fakepartofme
98pts. Who cares what his status was contract wise.
Willy did it without 34.
Marner gets 90 thanks to a combo of 34 and secondary assists.
Look at the stats Willy vs Mitch last 7 years. Pay attention to primary points.
Willy & Mitch deserve same cash. |

Frosted Flakes are good with a little bit of fruit in them. A few blueberries, raspberries, or even some thin slices of banana.

Great fan of other team, petition your GM to trade for Willy.
Seider will do just fine. |

Secondary assist master. - Big23Questions
I know this may come as a complete shock to you,
But Willy and Mitch have been scoring goals at nearly an identical pace throughout their careers.
Mitch just has 111 more pts, so he gets a lot more assists.
The more you know! |

Man AA - I’ve posted the comparison (from MoneyPuck) over the last 7 years. So many times. Primary points they are neck and neck. If you want to pretend you haven’t seen it that’s up to you. I feel you will ignore it again (you never once responses after I posted them) if o post so I just won’t.
You Mitchy obsessed fans are nuts though sometimes. It’s like you can’t objectively see his game and focus on his total points and that’s it. Like that’s the game.
You can’t possibly look at the playoffs last number of years and say: Marner showed up. You can’t say that for any of them (16/91…34?) offensively except for Willy maybe.
With 34 he gets the same talk (on offence) but he is also a centre and contributes a lot on other areas of the game and in all 3 zones…though he certainly needs to pot more for sure.

The 3 core Leafs playoff careers in G5-7:
Matthews - 19 gp, 416.87 mins of TOI, 8 goals, 13 pts, 1.15 G/60, 1.87 pts/60
Nylander - 21 gp, 398.49 mins of TOI, 7 goals, 17 pts, 1.05 G/60, 2.56 pts/60
Marner - 21 gp, 465.70 mins of TOI, 1 goal, 9 pts, 0.13 G/60, 1.16 pts/60 (!?!)

So you take out one stat to suit your narrative and now they’re equal? lol.
Insane.
They’re nowhere near the same. Nylander gets benched every year because his lack of attention to detail. He drives coaches insane. Mitch fills in for injured defenders because he’s the most trusted forward they have.
Think whatever you want. But you said Willy scores goals, but Mitch scores just as many.
It’s fun to hate Mitch. Be a card carrying member I don’t care. But I couldn’t imagine going into a wings thread and raging on about one of their players. |

I mean no disrespect to Leafs fans here - you know I cheer for them every chance I get after Wings. But I want to badly for Mitchy to get traded for anything just to shut this fanboy obsessive teenage girl stuff about him go. The level of insane regarding how amazing and flawless he is just stuns me. |

Keefe was holding Marner back. Forcing some stupid east-west style of play when Mitch is a north-south player.
Also Marner would easily have another 50 career pts if it wasn’t for his jagoff assistant who doesn’t know how to run a power play. |

Nope. Primary points is a reflection on the direct impact the payer has as it relates to points.
Goals & First Assist. That’s not cherry picking, it’s Pro Hockey. Constantly mentioned by analysts, used by GMs and Agents, and players when negotiating….when did they start even counting the second assist?
Nobody hated Mitch on here since I’ve been here. You (mostly) and a couple others just what on Willy and wouldn’t dare say anything about poor little Mitchy and fit so defensive when someone did that it drove folks to feel the need to start to point out Mitchys faults…it was always:
- MVP for Mitch
- best player Leafs history
- best player in league
All that absolute nonsense. |

Secondary assists vs primary.
Who (frank)in cares?
How do you know what that player did before he started the finishing play?
Could have skated around 4 guys to create the opportunity for all we know.
