There's no way the NHLPA goes for any of that. - PeteM
You are probably right but there has to be some framework that would work. In every field there are levels. With each level comes increases and benefits. That is why a person that flips burgers does not make the same as a lawyer or surgeon. I just think a payment structure would help a franchise and the league be more viable. It would also keep older players in the league longer which I am sure the NHLPA would like.

Wow what a terrible season by the Rags. Lost in the ECF. Fan base has to be so disgusted. Major changes needed to the roster. Is the coach and GM safe? - nyisles7
Went on their page last night. With 5 minutes left they were screaming to blow it up. Get rid of soft Zib and Panarin. I bet on Rags to win. Best money I ever spent. |

Some of them are still saying they should make drastic changes. I think it's normal. Give them time to get over a disappointing end. Their expectations were understandably high. We'll see how they feel in September. |

It’s not an embarrassment to lose to Florida, but the goal is not making the playoffs or ECF. Rangers are in win now mode and not the Devils of last year. They do not need to rebuild or fire everyone but the clock is ticking. Igor needs to get paid soon. |

An unexpected benefit from tonight’s Oiler win, is that I can officially 100% declare myself an Islander fan.
Don’t get me wrong, pretty stoked to see the Oil make the final. But seeing the Rangers get eliminated brought me more joy. |

Will be interesting to see how Lane does if he gets another head coaching job. It was tough having to take over Barry's team.

Lambert strikes me as the kinda coach who’s better suited to be a lieutenant not the general. I know that sounds like a put down but it’s not really meant to be one 😂 |

They are probably more miserable due to them thinking their team actually had a chance unlike ours. 😆 - Cptmjl

Happy for you schwein. I thought Dallas would win the series not knowing much about both teams. I still picked the Rangers over the Caps and Canes and losing to Florida, so my record is still good.

All of the '94 parallels made the Rangers seem like the team of destiny in the East, and Dallas having to knock out the past two Stanley Cup champions made them seem like the team of destiny in the West.
But we have Edmonton and Florida, so...so much for destiny!
I think I'll root for Edmonton in the finals since it'll help support my whole goaltending in the modern NHL theory |

The only reason I want the Panthers to win is for Okposo. |

I hadn’t thought of that but that would be cool. And, not for Buffalo makes it even better. |

Teams will need to decide if it makes sense to spend huge money on a goalie in a Cap world. Hopefully it works out with Sorokin. You may have been ahead of the curve on this one UIF.

I like Edmonton a lot but I would also be very happy to see Okposo lift the Cup. Nice to have two teams I don't hate playing in the final this year. |

I also always respected the Oilers talent even though they were a big Islander rival during those two Cups. Both teams have had their fair share of troubles after the Cup wins.
