Crazy win. Went from being crazy pissed off about the 3rd period to crazy happy on the ot goal. Laf has been amazing, what a year, hopefully this is the start of him becoming the guy we all hoped for.

I think all those people having a good time celebrating at Central Park yesterday are probably still in a good mood today

The problem is that you dont see it. You actually said it. They played so bad but won. I mean can we win 2 more like last game?? Who knows but it is better to cautious than over optimistic. Id feel much better if we played better and won.

I realized they played terribly lol I actually don’t let it ruin the victory tho

Hard to tell but I think that was Tkachuk and OEL slashing him

We got them frustrated their big fat shoe is on the other foot

- Slimtj100

I hope we are in their heads! They go after the guy that played less than 5 mins in an OT game, clearly they are not focused! LETS GO RANGERS!

He is having a rough round, let's not extrapolate that he sucks or been brutal the whole playoffs. Barkov is eating his lunch this round, no shame in admitting that, the guy is Bergeron 2.0
- airjan23

There is a shame in it. Barkov is completely out playing him offensively and defensively. He has to play better. Mika has to show up. Mika hasnt produced except when he is on a toilet and he has been a defensive liability.

he's lethal w/ that backhand when he's got speed into the slot.

It isnt about ruining the victory but being pessimistic about winning the next game.

Barkov has one goal one assist in the series. Goal was heads-up against Trocheck..who actually blew the coverage

Tools in the tool bag come out seemingly every game now. He is getting some dooshiness too, like in the face of the opponent.

And he is still only 22 years old, won’t turn 23 until the start of next season. Should continue to get even better.

I wonder how close they were to trading him. I think it was valliquette, or Maloney..who referenced that yesterday. Like maybe he knew something

So I wonder if the Chytil experiment is over soon. Maybe he gets one more game, but if we lose tuesday and he and his linemates are equally as ineffective, gotta think he sits for game 5.

Also, put Miller back with Schneider. Trouba is a dumpster fire regardless, but at least give Miller a partner that he plays well with. Need him to be way better than that.

- t-dawg

I’d go back to Chytil on the third line (easier matchups/minutes for him). Then put Roslovic back on the first. That’s where he started the playoffs and that line was more effective than the current version with Chytil.

I think the work is catching up with Fil now being out so long. I agree with your take

Kreider Zib Roslovic
BLT
Chytil Wennberg Kakko
Cuylle Goodrow Rempe

Is probably the best lineup forward wise, and I’d dress 7D if they scratch Rempe

The goodrow turnaround is simply remarkable. I just can’t believe he was capable of this. He’s one behind the team leader in playoff goals

I can’t stop watching that goal. He has that “put the team on my back” mentality and I love it!

I love how people are acting like we didn’t put 5 up. Lopsided ice and a lucky win, but there’s still offense coming out of the team even without our superstars contributing. Depth wins cups and that’s all I care about.

The thing is Im not even being a pessimist. I just find it funny acknowledging that the Rangers played poorly for the majority of the game, despite winning, gets you flamed.

The negative is outweighing the positive here about 98% to 2%

I am happy that we are up 2-1. I would rather win a game where we played poorly than lose a game that we dominated otherwise. I can’t say for sure, but I would like to think most others feel that way too.

That being said, the way they were generally outplayed yesterday, they were lucky to win. I’ll take it because a win is a win. But, don’t expect to win the series if that is how both teams play moving forward. It’s possible, but not likely. That is why we point out the “negatives”, because the hope is they make adjustments.

I mean come on this has been the theme of this blog all season. This is just another chapter.

We weren’t allowed to enjoy a president’s trophy winning season and we certainly aren’t allowed to enjoy a weekend where they won two overtime games in the eastern conference finals.

I can’t apologize any more than I already have
