I’m done protecting players. It’s now or never. If Kreider sucked tonight I would be the first to say it. I want a cup man, sick of always coming up short. I don’t care if Florida is a better team. Throw the kitchen sink at them. They showed in the first 2 periods they can make some plays and create some offense. Dig deep do it for the full 60 minutes. If they go out swinging throwing everything they can for 60 mins I won’t say a word. But they still haven’t brought that 60 min effort yet this series |

Also on the powerplay he has time and space. But isn’t doing anything with it. It’s not all his fault but like we said these are legacy games. Right now his legacy is he can’t hack it in the big playoff games. He still has a chance to change it but it has to happen in game 6 - TPC
PP is definitely burning them, not just him
Rangers are a lot like the penguins before they won. Really good teams that didnt get it done. Lots of doubts and always came up short but finally had enough to win it all. I think we’re still a player away, maybe two. We’re close tho.
This series is like carbon copy of the LA series, just how difficult it is for them to get and keep the puck and getting beaten down |

The problem is when he takes up that much cap space he has to be the best player. Why the best they could do was add Roslovic at the deadline - TPC
During the regular season he is. Come PO when space is limited he can’t do enough off the rush or cycle where he has to work hard for scoring chances. Tkachuck and Barkov can. Point and Stamkos did. Marchand and Bergeron did. Certain players can and others can’t. Messier was the epitome of it. It’s why marner is being run out of town |

Roslovic has had some moments, but he wasn’t the right deadline move. Hopefully Chytil is fully back to himself next season, but he’s done nothing so far. Agree Wheeler provides more value, and although he gets pooped on, missing Vesey out there.
Panarin has to be hurt, no? He gets into 1 on 1 positions every game and can’t get a shot on net. - TC88
Panarin is typical panarin in the playoffs. Disappears. Just ask chicago. |

I cannot wait until he's traded. One of the biggest draft busts ever. Guy gets slower and more tentative every shift he plays. - blacksheep1

If that's true, drury is incompetent. I'm glad I fell asleep past 2 games right before puck drop. Rangers are cursed in game 5s. |

Well, for over a decade it's frustrated me to no end that the Rangers only seem to play their best, most desperate hockey when up against elimination. Time to test that theory yet again |

Florida is built a little better for playoffs and are simply the better team. NYR is giving it their all, but just don't have the horses to beat the Panthers. I trust Drury to address the needs this offseason and next trade deadline.
With that being said...there is still a chance |

so annoying seeing that (frank)ing oaf mikkola play this well.
dude was the most useless 6'5" player - now he's a tough guy, crashing into the net. he single handedly won that puck battle in the corner in the final 30 seconds.
unbelievable. it never ends |

If there is blame to be given for the Rangers predicament it lies solely at the feet of Chris Drury and James Dolan.
The refusal to do everything necessary to bolster the teams makeup for a long playoff run is the main reason the team finds themselves on the verge of elimination.
Not brining in Jake Gruntzel because of his refusal to part with Kappo Kakko is bordering incompetent. Holding on to a 1st round pick, which will be what #30? because the draft is at Dolans new toy, while banking in millions for the eight playoff games at the garden is so selfish an act it defies belief.
In 94’ a few very popular players were shipped out in order to make the team more playoff ready. That was not accomplished here.
Hoping for the best in game 6 and hopefully game 7.
