Any yet, we've been listed as the underdogs for 2 consecutive rounds now. And, entered the playoffs with something like the 5th best odds to win the Cup. So, his phrasing is not unwarranted.

No idea how the Rangers were underdogs against the Canes. I liked the Rangers in that series mostly because of Anderson. The Canes did not even look great against the Islanders. Something was missing from the Canes during these playoffs.

Dump and chase needs to be a soft dump into a corner where our winger or center is already moving, we need to hit up there D all game, when Rempe's line dumps, you can see the D men not being so excited about turning their back to get it... they need to get that treatment all game long, Kreider needs to have some big hits if he isn't going to be scoring

It is true though with the core getting older and with no move clauses, Laf and Igor on cheaper deals, this may be their best chance for a bit to win a cup. Just have to get it done

Shock the world? Rangers were my pick to represent the East when the playoffs started. Also, they were 1st overall in the league. So, them making the finals would be the opposite of shocking. Really though, right now with how they've been playing/being outplayed, they live and die by Shesterkin. He's a f'n stud and if he doesn't have an off night in the next couple of games then very likely you guys get through.

My guess is 9/10 people are picking the Panthers at this stage of the series, so comment was based on the current situation more than where we finished the regular season. I appreciate your outsiders perspective though, I hope you’re right! Igor has been incredible, and if you look at the 11 goals the panthers have scored, most have been a little lucky. Rangers top players need to step up tonight.

Underdogs...by Vegas odds? I haven't heard much of any of that from analysts and what not. I think the Cats are the hardest team to play against from a skaters standpoint. So, if you guys get past them I think you will take either of the two west teams.

Exactly. This moment is it for this group. We're totally screwed by the combo of having big contracts with nmcs for declining players on the books, plus younger guys needing big raises. This is literally our chance, gotta take it.

Ahh gotchya. Thats the thing, if you skater studs show up, play a full 60 mins, produce even just a bit closer to their regular production and Igor is who he usually always is, you guys win.

Kreider completely shied away from making a hit along the boards last game. WTF? Have to take the body every time.

Good article on Lafs emergence. I legitimately think he's the best forward on our team now. His game seems built for the playoffs, unlike Mika and Panarin.

Ya that's fair. Trocheck is probably equally valuable as Laf.

Kreider somewhere in the middle, although all his clutch goals gives him a perpetual pass from me. Need him to come through again this series though

He has certainly looked like a 1st overall pick to my eyes...and on the scoreboard. That young man looks possessed.

Kreider will always get that clutch goal time to time, but he could be so much more effective. Not hating on him, but imagine if he had a mean streak!!!!? Dam..he'd be unstoppable.
