Defense. And I don't say that as a reason why he should not be scratched. Just a truthful (IMO) answer to the question you posed. If Wheeler can't manage to score or set up a goal, is he bringing more than KK? I don't think so.

If he's a scratch again that's wild. Definitely over for him here.

Funny thing in that Athletic article I posted was that Laf is second on the team to only Kakko in expected goals per 60 or some statistic like that. I just don't get it when I hear those stats. He's solid defensively and on the walls in the ozone, but any time he gets the puck near the net he skates it out to the wall with his back to the net instead of putting the puck to the net. Literally trying his best not to create chances.
