Well said. I guess it really does come down to which Skinner are you getting. If you get 35 goal skinner, great. If not... you really don't have to worry about replacing anything as he was a hole in the lineup when not on the first line. I don't know how they keep Peterka off of the first line.

he is also one of the anchors on the top 3 pk team over the last 3 seasons though

Fallout was fantastic. Just really good storytelling. Its a shame that people that watched garbage like True Detective wouldn't give that a sniff.

we are not going to spend to the cap anyhow so I would rather get a goodrow to anchor the 4th line and pk unit then another erik johnson and jost

at least he brings some value to the daily lineup

if you move on from krebs to upgrade your d I would be fine with greenway-goodrow-girgens for the 4th line for 1 year

If memory serves, I think it becomes more palatable in a year to buy him out? If the rumors are true about him being moved, I wonder if they used that as leverage. If you buy someone out, do they still get the money? Or is it only a cap savings?

I think one of our targets is said to be a second line winger. That's part of the reason I would love to move Skinner - you could go out and get a Toffoli of Ehlers and keep Peterka on the top line. How many teams would have a better top 6 than that?

Last TD season is good. Think it's easier to tell some people it's a new sci fi apocalypse show instead of a video game adaptation.
