Well, even this full season scope answers the question. But we both know he improved over the course of the season and became pretty decent. We watched it and the numbers prove it.

And he was awful to start.

Just goes against convention is all. List of coaches extended and fired before it starts is several.. and most found a new job.. except Donnie and Dan Quinn. (frank) even Mike Yeo has a job.

Also understandable is choosing to take a year off. Some do.

The 3rd year hurts but really it isn't that bad overall.

💯 the bold above, as I don't trust the current management to do enough/go for it, and bring in the actual quality players they need to round out their roster and be a legitimate team.

There's also the question of how much they're allowed to spend compared to the cap limit.

You underestimate the Sabres organization's ability to produce poopty on ice results no matter the perceived quality of the roster.

He may not be the best coach in the league , but he’s still relevant.

Couple wins more from Lindy then Donnie and we’re pushing the playoffs

I feel like I'm living in crazy town. Kevyn Adams was promoted out of obscurity due to his close ties to Terry, has had one season where he even sniffed a wildcard berth, and we're giving him the benefit of the doubt because a coach we all liked 15 years ago is back

BTW- that coach fired Adams off his staff and Terry relocated him within the org. Well, he's had 5 years to learn as GM. Maybe he gets it now
