played like crap in game 7 vs the canes
played blah in 5 of 7 games in flyers series
let in 4 goals in the first 2 games of the sens series in 07 to give us no chance
had 1 great 2/3 of a season when he got silver though
I put Miller on the most over rated sabres all time team and if he was Canadian instead of American he would have received about 5 percent the hype he got - homiedclown

Most overrated Sabres players list. I would put Miller up there. He was above average with some great games. He also had a team in front of him that for years could score at will so it didn’t matter.
Who is the top 5 most overrated Sabres? |

Not my era but why does Danny Gare have his jersey retired?
8 years here and his stats aren't that great. |

284 wins, 186 losses. 2.6 GA, .916 Save % yet somehow.... overrated? Usually its the politics that makes me lose my mind on this board, but this one always gets me. |

I mean, getting scored on by Sydney Crosby is hardly something to dunk on him for. Now if like, Radim Vrbata schooled him, sure. |

Half the jerseys up there are an embarrassment, not to mention the president's trophy banner.

Barnaby is up at the top of my list. Waste of talent on the ice, and a complete jack*** off of it

Not saying he wasn’t good. But he had some talented teams in front of him. Throw hasek in on this team 05-10 and they have several cups. Even with the staph infection. |

The only thing that would have redeemed Jar Jar was George Lucas's original idea that he was the Sith underling a la The Mule from the second Isaac Asimov Foundation book. Lucas abandoned the idea because he thought it would make kids too sad.
That would have been an amazing twist in the second movie. Jar Jar as it ended up was horrible - Hank Balling
Star Wars is a space opera set in the future of the past, has hundreds of aliens and advanced technology, droids, planet-spanning cities, and is about intergalactic samurai monk wizards who wield laser swords and use magic, steal children to sterilize and indoctrinate with their religion, kill indiscriminately, manipulate politics and are only really afraid of cooler versions of themselves who dress in black...
And you threw your hands up at an anthropomorphic amphibian from Jamaica and microscopic bacteria that congregates around the source of the space magic as if it somehow shattered the fabrics of the universe.
Did you see the Koboh matter in Jedi Survivor and promptly shut the game off? Seems like you would have preferred to not enjoy that game over tapioca bubbles that suffocate you when you fall into a pool of them.

It should be what Perrault, hasek, RJ maybe Lafontaine. I get Horton as an emotional thing. Who else? |

The podracing was fun and the Darth Maul fight scene was dope but we don't have to pretend Jar Jar was anything but awful. Also the space congress politics was just boring |

I am a movie buff (I review them on the side) and there is a fantastic podcast called "What Went Wrong". Each week they pick a movie and talk about where it went off the tracks. They spent a long episode on Lucas - it was fascinating to hear how the idea for Star Wars evolved and became what it was. It also explained how it went off the tracks, and why. The main reason that the prequels were so bad was because his wife was no longer around to reign him in (she was a respected editor). - Slump Buster
The reason the Prequels "went off the tracks" is because he surrounded himself with yes men after taking 15 years to write worse stories than the ones he let a bunch of random sci-fi authors write while he ruined his original, Oscar-winning masterpiece and it's sequels with horrible CGI to raise money for a movie he was going to film like it was 1980 still.
The guy spent 20 years huffing his own farts. "Waiting" for the technology to catch up to his "vision". And then made a movie trilogy the most archaic way possible, and halfway through he switched to digital film, so the aesthetics looked overproduced.
They were never going to live up to fan expectations, but unlike the Sequel Trilogy, they weren't a pure cash-grab... They were fan-service and by default, fan-service cannot be bad.
Let's stop pretending like the original movies weren't full of terrible acting, horrible dialogue, inconsistencies and the literal same exact problems the Prequel Trilogy had. The same guy made them. The story of the rise and fall of Darth Vader is a masterpiece and his 6 films are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Every single sci-fi story will forever live in the shadow of Star Wars.
You guys can continue to not enjoy the best thing ever created. There are control freaks and people actively sabotaging it, with a limitless source of money to do it with.
The problem is you can't make Star Wars suck. JJ Abrams almost pulled it off but it's impossible to make the force, lightsabers, jedi or Star Wars suck.
Spin moves be damned. You guys literally watch Steven Segal movies and poop, Sit the (frank) down. |

The range of outcomes for him is wild. I see some people saying 3 years, $4 per, and then some people say he might not be qualified |

Joker, seems like everyone that brings it up has a different thought. If Adams signs him that pretty much kills any idea of a TOP 4 RD. And IMO I can't see how they see that. |

Can't take credit for that one, Came from a Canucks fan. Just posted another one from CapFriendly, also from a Jets fan. Didn't like Kupari in that trade, so I swapped Iafallo in for a 2025 3rd instead. |

Would you be happy if they land a cheap rental 4C and play Krebs at 3C? Lot of options once you lower the bar.

The Original Star Wars spends 5 minutes in space, 45 minutes in a desert sitting in caves with an annoying robot, 5 minutes in space, half an hour in hallways, two 70 year old men banging their canes together, 5 minutes in space, 15 minutes in a military meeting and then 15 minutes in space.
MASTERPIECE
Phantom Menace starts off right away with The Chinese setting up a blockade on Switzerland, while Interpol shows up and starts killing the (frank) out of everyone with laser swords. They escape to Vatican City Planet, meet a Jamaican Salamander, go to a huge underwater Wizard of Oz Emerald City, use the Jedi mind trick to steal a submarine, traverse the planet, rescue Princess Peach who was held hostage, smuggle her off the planet and then meet baby Darth Vader. Who built C3P0. And is Jesus. And is a slave owned by Jews. And is about to do a crazy space-car race that's awesome.
He wins. A super (frank)ed up samurai with full body tattoos and spikes on his head (not a jew) attacks baby Jesus and Joseph has to fight him off while his Shudo watches from the ship. They escape with the Virgin Mary. Who Jesus is gonna (frank) someday.
Anyway they go to court and Emperor Palpatine is like "Let my people go!" and they make him the Senate. Then Space Salamander and the Apostles get the Technicolor dream coat and go back to Bowser's Castle - That level is about to be defeated.
Baby Jesus flies with his robot into space and blows up a giant battery while an epic battle wages on the planet below him and the gay Samurai space wizards fight the creepy goth samurai.
The absolute coolest GOD DAMN song in the entire GOD DAMN UNIVERSE plays during the fight and the weirdo gets cut in half after he penetrates the Master in front of his Shudo.
Then the Shudo becomes the master and raises Jesus as his liege. Also that swamp goblin from Empire Strikes back is here too and he's a total Richard.
NOT A MASTERPIECE. |
