Panthers have traded:

22' for Skunk
23' for Chiarot
24' for Giroux
25' for Tkachuk

Every one of these trades proved to be significantly more valuable for the team than the potential a draft pick would add to the organization.

Oilers have traded:

24' for Henrique
23' for Ekholm
22' and 21' were both traded for later picks, neither have provided value to the NHL roster.

Ekholm alone is worth all of these trades and the picks are not helping the team try to win the cup this season.

It's not hard to look this up.

Me too unfortunately.

If he could be just a little more defensively responsible I wouldn't mind the guy, he just frightens me when I imagine him in his own end.

Skinner-Bennet-Mantha or heavy type. Was me trying to mimic his line in Florida right now.

OOC, if those 4 solid players are on anything but 1 year deals, do you trade away Peterka or Quinn?

Not trying to be a jerk, but I think that lineup loses us at least one. Get rid of Bennett or Mantha, promote a youngin instead, and that's probably closer to a plausible lineup.

Forsling went from waiver claim to prime Marc Edouard Vlasic overnight and along with Ekblad is probably neck and neck with Ekholm/Bouchard as the top defensive pairing the last several months.

Its not about speed and skill with them. Sabretooth admitting as much by changing his argument to how talented they are. They grind teams to death. They take space away in every zone and their best forwards are two way monsters. Barkov and reinhart finished 1 and 4 in selke voting

The finals will not be a track meet if Florida has their way. I think they are fixing to smother Edmonton just like they do everyone else. They will need to stay out of the box though

How many Centers are better than Barkov right now ? If he’s not a top 5 C in the sport he’s safely in the top 10.

Ditto Tkachuk in terms of wingers. He’s absolutely a top 10 winger in the sport.

I’d say all 4 are extremely skilled and talented.

The identity point is a great one and its something I hope they resolve

I think a puck pressure grinding type of game with active defense is what this team could be capable of. Regardless of what they try to be they still need to find some net front presence and more edge throughout the lineup

Will adams supplement the roster to help and will the players buy in to whatever they need to do are very big questions of this group
