Yea very unlikely but hey Gretzky didn’t stay his whole career. You just never know what players want

If they win the cup this year, and keep most of the team together... it would be nuts if he left.

Make for great hockey talk though

I actually agree. I said the other day, no way I believe this is the new norm. We shall see
- mdw7413

I do, I think he is a good just not elite center. It’s multiple playoffs now where when he is facing another great center he struggles 5v5. He can still produce on special teams so he has value. Just wish his cap hit was lower

I know I’m a broken record with it..but

You see what the pair do shorthanded, and it’s phenomenal. Almost unbelievable at times how good they are together killing penalties. The most sensible argument is the RW sucked this year because the past few years the RW was flat out a better hockey player with them. Whether it’s was Zucc or Buch and eventually Vatrano, they are better then Kakko and Wheeler, and Roslovic (who I thought gave that line a little juice at times)

I think McDavid stays and it's better for the league as well. Unless he wants to be an Islander.

Panarin is the one guy I see getting thrown around but that dude and his line, besides Shesty, was the only reason we were in the playoffs
- mdw7413

who Said Panarin?

He ha an amazing reg season but the Houdini act in the playoffs when things got tough (and he wasn't the only one) doesn't work

Fox admitted he re-aggravated his knee injury from earlier in the season on the Jensen hit

Trouba had a broken ankle during the year. A kidney bean chunk came off it when it happened.

Run it back talk. Oh hell yeah. The definition of insanity is definitely not doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.

We do it in here every damn day, so what's the (frank)ing difference?

Running it back doesn’t not mean that the entire lineup will be the same.

That is the worst possible thing that could’ve happen. Really stressed the whole game plan

I was thinking more regular season. I don't think he ever looked so bad since we traded for him

I thought he was pretty good, also other teams concentrating on him gave Troch and Laf more room. imo

I said a few pages ago, let’s wait and see on the Fox and Trouba reports to see what they were dealing with. I said no way Trouba didn’t have a huge injury he was dealing with, there it is.

Half the battle is being lucky enough that your high end/priced guys stay healthy. By all accounts the oilers and panthers aren’t dealing with that atm

Trouba signed here because of his wife, being a Dr in Manhattan, so unless he is getting a divorce, I doubt he will waive his no trade, but it is ok to dream.
- Brukie

A NTC is a NTC, its not a NMC. He still has to submit 15 teams he would accept a trade to.

What about his play the entire time he’s been here? And let’s be honest he came back 8 games left in reg season. This is a cop out to back their captain as he won’t be moved.

Fox should’ve sat for jones if he hurt his knee again.

Someone wrote this on Twitter and pretty accurate.

Jacob Trouba was on the ice for 17 of the 35 opposition goals in the 2nd and 3rd round.

He was 5th on the Rangers in ice-time with a broken ankle

This was fireable offense by Peter Laviolette and the Rangers just sold their best chance they might have with this core

If the Oilers lose and they dont win a Cup by the time the contracts expire, they might choose to move. Only 2 teams that made it to the Finals and lost in the last 20 years, make it the following year. Pens and this years Panthers.
