If we had Chytil all year, where he is “normal” for the playoffs, he wasn’t. He was out there not the dynamic guy we saw at times, a healthy Fox, and a 3rd line who could score more…we’d be playing the Oilers

It isn’t a lot to ask for moving forward to winning it all still.

In fairness to chiefs, the Islanders had some fun years going to back to back conference finals.

I guess my point is that the NHL season is a long one and we all (player, orgs, fans, etc.) dedicate a lot of time and money to our teams. The ultimate goal for everyone is the cup and we're all disappointed when it doesn't happen. I want a cup as bad as anyone. I was 2.5 in 94 and want a cup I remember. To act like this season was a disappointment and a waste is crazy to me. They're not perfect and there are room for improvements but there are probably 25+ teams that would trade rosters with the rangers right now

But imo the org will ultimately decide to “run it back” understanding things can be different next year with some improvement from guys, better health from guys, and a year under Lavy. Tinker - with trading probably Kakko, have a kid or two make the team to help with the cap. Maaaaybe sign a RW and add some depth.

Rempe gave them some juice and player they can use a lot more in the regular season not fearing playoff mistakes. The size we have coming is nit something we really refer too (Edstrom and roobreock) COULD be a game changer as a 4th line, or parts of it. That would help vs the floridas, and bigger teams we have trouble with.

Bottom line is we aren’t a finish product yet and it takes time…but no one sees the light and is consumed with the now

The organization will run it back, no other choice. They will trade someone and promote a few of the younger players. The culprits from this years failings will still be here, just a year older. We will see how it plays out.

I'm assuming you watch all 82 games like most of us. With 2.5 hour games that 8.5 days of watching this team. Add playoffs and it's even more.

Excuse some of us for wanting to enjoy that time and getting excited about it. If you don't because you're so cynical, I hope you figure that out but we can enjoy the small victories along the way without the constant "cup or bust" mentality when we're enjoying a good win in November

Didnt know that but makes sense. Sounds like a truly fake Rangers fan. We all want to see a cup and certainly things are closer to that goal then it is for most teams.

We have 5.79m to find 2 of either a 1RW, 3C, 3RW, plus a 13F/7D for the bench. Lets say they call up Othmann to play 3RW and Harpur to be the healthy scratch.

Were now down to 4.1m to find a 1RW or a 3C.

The point Im trying to make is, this team can win games, theyre very good and theyll make the playoffs, however I dont know if this team after 3 playoff runs where they gave up 2-0, 2-0, 2-1 series leads have the next level playoff hockey gusto to take that next step to the Cup final and ultimately win.

Lindgren's QO is 4.4m, so thats what I gave him x5. Schneider I expect to get a solid raise, so I gave him 2.75m x 2 on a bridge deal.

I find myself in a neutral place. Where I do believe we have a good team and the possibility to win is there, however as Ive said, Im not sure the team as it is currently constructed has that next level edge to win it all.

You keep stating everything is because of Tom and Brukie, but that is just not the case. They don’t drive the conversation anymore than you or Jim do. A lot of us are on the fence and you just keep up the victim mentality.

I did not see it, but I have seen some reviews that is was not good. Essentially like one very long SNL skit? Not saying it was bad, just saying what I heard. Seems like it’s an acquired taste and you either love it or hate it.
