Maybe the logic is to trade one (or two) current top D man for a good top 6 forward and pick a D man with the 5th pick…. If the Forward they want to pick is no longer available…
For example, you trade Matherson or Ghule for Necas and you draft a top D like Deckinson at the draft if Demidov is not possible…
Is the Team better with Necas + Deakinson or with Matheson|Ghule + Demidov…
