I used to consider myself an atheist until I realized it's also in itself a system of beliefs, because it adamantly focuses on the non-existence of god.

100%. I was the same. And as I get older, I find myself thinking more and more that there very well could be an intelligent design behind it all. Maybe we are the creation of a 6th grader's science project from an incredibly advanced alien race. Just kidding of course, but you get my drift.
