Just guessing, but coming from Gerbe so early in the offseason, they probably discussed it with him already....or they really are planning to buy him out. This early, I'd lean towards the trade. Maybe retention opens up some options.

Understanding this is from a Jets perspective, I have seen a couple Ehlers to Buffalo trades. I want to like that player. Should I not? Most of the trades I am fine with too on what we give up, from Jets fans. Is he good or not? I looked up goals and points and I don’t mind those numbers. $6m a couple more years.

Scott Wheeler of the Athletic lists Rosen as our 6th best prospect, ahead of guys like Ryan Johnson, Novikov, Komarov.

A prospect being called up doesn’t need to be amazing. Just needs to show sign. Show something.
