And there really isn’t for Leon’s either is my point. Pretty clearly dirty. Not many defenders of his hit, both here and for the professional broadcast ranks. - SDSabre
Its really not though is my point, he goes through the chest. Initial point of contact is not the head.
Its clear they're letting the games play out so I don't know why anyone's calling for suspensions |

Is that factual either?

And draisait left his feet and led with his elbow made first contact with barkovs head. Admitting himself that he "caught him in an unfortunate spot"
You know, the spot he saw charged and left his feet to get him in - ieetbred
You need to watch the video a couple more times in some different angles if you think the initial point of contact is the head.

Not trying to attack ya buddy, sorry. Just want the Sabres to spend wisely. I'm worried Adams becomes the proverbial drunken sailor to try and save his job. - QuinnFan
You Bastard! It's cool Bud. Everyone has different options, just trying to find a top 6 Winger that could help. Think Adams is gonna have trouble doing anything IMO unless he overpay's a bit. Especially the FA |

Ok, I can’t help if you don’t see elbow to jaw with a head snapping back.
And I’m not, I’m calling a dirty hit with intent to injure a dirty hit with intent to injure. The DPS is a joke, everyone knows this. |

I have clearly stated his elbow hits him in the head. Its just not the initial point of contact. Its unintentional.
DPS is what is what it is. They're letting the playoffs play out. No body has been suspended. Calling for this one is laughable to me as its not even in the top 5 suspensible incidents |

He drives up and towards the glass. You know, where Barkov’s head is. |

Sorry I have an un-biased take and ya'll clearly do not - DirtyDan
Barkov is a little bit taller than Draisaitl. It wasn’t bigger guy hitting smaller guy.
He did the Wilson, spring upwards into the hit. It was definitely borne out of frustration. The most I expected to come from it was a fine.
On to game 3. |

The nhl being consistent with it so kudos to them for that |

Head shots or not, just be consistent is all fans should be asking for. And they have so good on them.
Had they gone and suspended him it'd be some next level Bettman fixing.

Sure, except most of the contact is to the head. You can see this by 1) Barkov’s body barely moving 2) his head snapping back.
Either way, hopefully Barkov is fine, best player in the series by far. |

He practiced yesterday morning before they flew out to Edmonton. The extra day between games is coming in handy. |

is asking for a 3rd line center, middle 6 winger and a middle pair d man, asking for too much? |

I think Carolina, Avs, Vegas and others have done exactly that. I guess I'm the polar opposite as I see teams that WIN trades succeed. Hockey trades are just that, a swapping of assets that can help tweak, not take one over the top.
I'd rather add to that package and get a true superstar than give that type of change up for a middle 6er. - QuinnFan
Winning trades is not remotely the only way to succeed.
Which true superstars are even available?
None feels like the correct answer.
You sound a bit like Adams with wanting to use coupons to buy players that are already on sale.
You're going to continue to get garbage with that approach. |

It may not be out of the ballpark, just more than we should pay. If he's playing center he's likely our 3C for most of that contract. IMO, trading those types of assets for a 3C who's about to hit 30 and trending down, is bad biz.
2021- 73games 76pts
2022- 63games 67pts
2023- 80 games 63pts
He's likely a 50 pt player here at best and could fall off a cliff at any time. Only way I take that deal is he agrees to a pretty big discount so it's better for us moving forward financially, which is unlikely. - QuinnFan
Buchnevich is a winger, not a center.
You spent a lot of time dropping his production based on a hypothetical that is not true. |

Hate to say it but disagree with just about all of this. If he was acquired it would be to play C IMO, we have a glutton of wingers and no 3C. But even with Quinn and Cozens, it isn't like he's upgrading from Kyrou and Saad...so his current trajectory, which is downward, will continue through that contract most likely. An extension for him is going to cost quite a bit despite this, so again, I wouldn't give up any 1st round pick for him, no less another one that's developed well. My initial offer to them would be something around a 2nd, Neuchev and Novikov. I'd swap for Kulich if they really pushed because I think he's a decent player, but at mention of a 1st, I'm shopping elsewhere. - QuinnFan
You think they'd acquire Buchnevich to be anything other then a top 6 forward?
Not sure if you're serious with that or not. |

KA has made comments like this every year:
"Adams says that the first wave of core players have been locked in, but the next wave are coming as well (UPL, Levi, Byram, Quinn, Peterka)."
I'm more worried that he's not going to make moves because he over-values everyone he has. |
