Bed? We’re celebrating

Draisaitl with a nice leaping elbow to Barkov chin. Totally left his feet before contact.
Haven’t heard anything about Barkov status.

- Ratsreign

If a leaping elbow to the head of a team captain is a 2-minute penalty, I think Tkachuk would gladly serve those 2 minutes to do the same to Edmonton's captain.

That's essentially what it comes down to. Can McDavid enter into an as-yet-unseen God Mode where he can essentially single-handedly beat the Cats' pressure and Bob.

Granted they have guys like Draisaitl, Bouchard, and Hyman who are all good/great players. But if they're able to make it, McDavid will have to channel 1985 playoff Gretzky.

Great game. Panthers played a much better game tonight with a little luck on their side. 2 posts and a crossbar, breakaway for McJesus, Draisaitl stopped twice from his office by Bobrosky.
What’s the word on Barkov? Missing teeth? Jaw? Hope he’s good to go on Thursday.

It’s 9 o’clock here in K town, everyone’s gone to bed in Florida.

Oil going the cheap route, trying to take out barkov. Bush league.

Three leading scorers were Gretzky with Coffey a distant second (10 points) and Kurri a distant 3rd (6 points).

Mimics McDavid, Draisaitl, and Bouchard this year but without the large gaps.

If Barkov can't play and there's no suspension then the Panthers are fully justified in doing their best to take out Draisaitl or McDavid.

Edmonton just lets everything ride on getting the bounces and calls. It starts with McDavid and goes down the lineup, but they don't do all of the little things you need to do against a really good, tight checking team. They just seem to be dependent on making lightning strike with McD/Drai.

It is something that doesn't really get noted but makes an understated impact, Edmonton refuses to start McDavid in his own end. He has a +70%(!!!) OZ start percentage this playoffs and he has averaged +23 mins per game. To stack him up front you messing up any rhythm that other lines might be able to build.

Really happy to see Florida off to a good start, would love to see a sweep. Hope Barkov is ok, he is such a great player to watch.

Your team is up two games to zero. They need to stay out of the penalty box. No need to goon it up if Barkov is out. Play hard play smart and don’t give them poop.
Better to win the cup and make CM watch on the ice then exact revenge and cheap shot him.

I actually think it's good to start McDavid in his own zone. Granted, he'd a wizard in the offensive zone, but when he builds up speed through the NZ, it's hard for anyone to stop him.

What year? They won 5 and they had a lot more notable players over those years than than just those 3 ie Messier, Anderson, Tikkanen, Simpson, Nilsson, Lowe, Huddy and more.

Yeah, it would seem so. I leaned towards wanting McDavid to win it but if the Cats were playing anyone else from the west I'd be going for the Cats, no question. I love how they play, like all of their players (besides Cousins) and like their coach.

1985

Yes, they had more than those 3, but those 3 were in another class.

Why don't you like Cousins? Also, is he hurt or has he just been a healthy scratch?

Edit: He totally deserved what he got from Gudbranson.

Pretty sure he's been healthy scratched a fair bit. I just think he's a bit of a dirtbag and coward haha

Well the current Oilers do have a 54-goal scorer on their team as well.

Panthers have much better depth this season. Cousins has been healthy scratch since Bennett came back in vs Boston.

At least the Panthers plane was finally able to get off the ground from Lauderdale. Only 3 or 4 hours late. Crazy amount of rainfall down here today.
