But thats not their name so to speak
:p
Canadiens - in the early 1900's were the French speaking "Canadians" the english speaking canucks still somewhat regarded themselves as brits.
It was suppose to be the french team as they previously had the wanderers
Then they adopted the toilet seat logo, cause montreal had a lot of great ass in town.
Still does ...true story

Marner is a very talented player. Yes, he has a huge contract and a new one is due.
All things considered management must know they cannot win a trade. I think they are just stalling hoping the fan base calms down. Marner should be a Leaf on opening night.
Most of the Leaf cap issues will dissipate with the completion of the Tavares contract.
Surely, there must be some Leaf fans who are beginning to change their opinions. Are you really serious about moving Marner for a goalie and a couple of middle of the road players? - spatso
No, but really serious about one good defenceman, a 1st, a good prospect.....and $11M+ in cap space. |

Speaking of insufferable look who is back in here to gloat.
I don't think you understand that posting a link to attendance stats isn't the flex you think it is when the Panthers have to do poop like this just to get people to come to the rink.

I agree with your point Cush, but also, gottdamm, that is a good deal. I'd go to their games at that price if I lived closer. That's 1990's prices. Can you imagine a deal like that in Toronto or Montreal? Holy poop. It even includes food and drink for my facehole.

Even when the Expos were on cusp of dying in the early 2000's there was 1 game per season where the big O was always full.
The 1$ per Hotdog game. |

I only to Jays' games on Loonie Dog Tuesdays, even though they're the most electrifying team in Toronto sports entertainment today. |

Back when the Lightning played in the dome the Rays play in now (called Thunderdome back then), you could buy nosebleed seats for $10 and parking in the far lot was free. We'd go to games with less than $50 in our pockets and get a seat, a couple of beers, and some nachos with change left over for a pack of smokes.
Damm, I'm getting old. |

I went to a Sens game years ago when they had like 75% of the upper bowl tarped off and had a deal where if you bought a ticket you got a free jersey or something insane.
The best deals in Montreal or Toronto I ever had were:
1. Coupon for a free can of beer outside the Air Canada Centre (which is what it was called when this happened) before a game in the fan zone.
2. 2 "steamies" and a beer at the Bell Centre for something silly like $14. This was in the late 90's or very early 2000's but I remember even then thinking the dogs were basically free compared to Toronto prices. |

Man, I went to a preseason Jays game at the Big O in Montreal a few years ago. It was crazy because nothing has changed in there since the 95 so it's like a time machine. Anyway they still charged 14 bucks or something for a Corona that came in a can so small I didn't even know they made them like that. I stopped drinking at sporting events after that.

I recall when we were teenagers
You could take a bus/go 🚂 from Niagara to the game, get a ticket, 🌭 and pop for $20 total

If you go to the big O for a monster truck spectacular, the people are dressed exactly the same as in 1995 as well |
