Big grinders -- hell of a way to build a team based on speed and attacking

Is there anyone who is in charge, I include the BSB alumni who have a powerful say in how the team is constructed/operates watching the SCF?

My best guess is they are at their cottages or golfing in Florida - or better yet waiting on how to re=tool from this year's cup winner which will be entirely different from the model of the Golden Knights that poho kj talked about last summer

always chasing - letting coaches dictate the roster and settling for asses in the seats - it is The New Era Of Orange

First off, I complain as much as the next fan posting here. One of the complaints is spending money and term on 4th liners. These last 2 signings out of Europe of big men who can skate is exactly the type of contracts (low risk, low money, low term) the Flyers need to be investing in potential 4th liners. So these signings are actually not bad. So there’s nothing negative here.

We are less than 2 weeks from the draft and once the Cup is awarded, the off-season and buyouts begin like 2 days later. July 1st is also 2 weeks away. Let’s see what GMDB & Co. do in the next 2weeks. It’s the calm before the storm. Now the storm might be no moves, stupid moves, more Jay O’Brien type draft picks, stupid buyouts that serve no purpose, bad signings, or maybe the Flyers get aggressive, trade up in the draft, get a blue chip prospect or two in the draft and trades, refrain from bad long term signings and actually add some good potential studs in good old hockey trades. The clock is ticking for sure but these last two signings aren’t a bad thing.

I agree…chances are they are AHL guys who by signing with the Flyers have a chance to get to the show. I agree that the Flyers need to swing for the fences and be aggressive for this upcoming draft. I’m not sure DB has it in him to make it happen. For all the talk about tough decisions on guys we would hate to lose, we have really not seen it.
