Mickey 8 saying Goodrow wanted this

#NYR I'll rephrase my source is saying Goodrow wants to go to SJ that he loved his six years there, so I wouldn't rule out that NYR "couldn't" get a late rd pick for him from another club. This is simply making Goodrow happy, in my source's opinion and not making him unhappy.

His sources usually aren't great, but you could see this happening. But if wanted it, could have been a trade as well, since he could have waived his NTC to go there

That guys source is his imagination

Hes my source

I believe along that Goodrow loves SJ and would’ve accepted a trade there. 6 years is a long time and he had roots/familiarity with the location, org, fans, etc

His source is a 6-year old kid that lives next door to him.

Seriously though, that guy knows absolutely nothing. I could believe that Goodrow doesnt mind going back to SJ. But Mickey8 is doing what you're doing.....making an assumption and guessing

What's funny is I can see the Rangers trading for Goodrow 2 years from now at the deadline at 50% retained lol. Always need those depth players come playoff time

Since they don’t have Goodrow buyout in the books now, wouldn’t it make it more likely they buyout Trouba?

Always try the trade route first.

So the Rangers paid Goodrow about 10 million bucks for a very solid Cup run in 2024

They’ve spent more on less over the years

Really like goody but understand this move completely. Not sure how a lot of fans Donte salary cap makes things challenging

Nah
- mdw7413

They really do save a healthy amount and the two years after is only 2 million so it isn’t very bad at all.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they did. Two buyouts would be non starter but only one now is possible imo. And no one else is really buyout worthy

Yea possibly. Detroit has cap room and he’d probably waive for there

Just my opinion, while I dont share the opinion that Trouba is awful, his contract isn't great, I doubt the Rangers are getting rid of, what has been said, 2 really good leaders in the locker room, and 1 being the captain.

They could do Petry for Trouba with some retainment. Petry only has one year left. Petry could be our 6-7 guy

It’s also possible that SJ picked him up on waiver with the intention of trading him for assets and retaining salary. Rangers need all the cap space they can get, and SJ needs assets and to reach the cap floor.
