I would rather piss away 3,641,667 for Goodrow vs bringing in the next Erik Johnson or taking another trip around the sun with jost and robinson or girgens or okposo

- homiedclown

You might be bringing the forward Erik Johnson...

Goodrow plays 12 and a half or 13 minutes a night for the team that won the presidents trophy but only good enough to play 8 minutes a night on this team

we deserve to suck with these takes

Goodrow was the Rangers worst player in terms of impacts and is now on waivers.

Why would we want a player that a team that is/was in their cup contention doesn’t even want ?

we try

they get shot down on this board because they make too much or cost too many assets to get them

kulich and pick 11 for Cirelli,85 percent of you say it costs too much but at the end of the day kulich and pick 11 could be 2 more Marek Zagrapans

cap era

they need money and he makes money

we dont need money

we do need a damn good guy on the pk and faceoffs

we do need a guy that brings a little jam when the game gets chippy

Realistically it's more based on the fact that Adams doesn't have the vision or determination to make a multi-piece trade for one good player. He'd rather nibble around the edges for Teddy Blueger and new mark prysk

He had a nice playoff.

He had an atrocious regular season.

Do you roll the dice, at $3.6 million for the next 3 years on your 4th line, that he hasn't hit the wall in his career? Even as desperate as we are for moves/trades/signings, etc, it doesn't seem like a smart move to me.

- Powerslave

I’d take goodrow for roughly 1 million per year over Girgensons x 3 years

Quinn
JJ
UPL
Levi

All need contracts (I think without looking)

I think still to some effect trading greenway and Clifton is a no brainer

Depends on what you think his motive is. I think it's much more about getting Skinner out of their lineup than plans to use the cap space and spend way above in real $.

I think his motive is he knows he needed to step on the gas this past offseason and he knows his ass is on the line this year to get this team where it rightfully should be or he’s cooked.

That’s what I think

Kinda steep. Think you could get better value.

Toss in Hathaway.

- TheSabresTaco

Why is it steep, he is the perfect energy Winger for the top 6. Draft looks weak, really don't know what I am getting with either Kulich or Savoie. I don't know

Not horrible, but think we have about 7 to spend on a good forward(s). It's going to get tight quick here, so have to be careful is all.

I'll assume he still has a tight budget, until he proves me wrong.

I understand he's a downgrade, but why not throw a contract offer to Bertuzzi? I mean, he's got the grit and can play anywhere in the lineup really. Should save 2-3M off TK's price and while he doesn't bring as many points, would check a lot of boxes.

I'll say I heard he didn't want to come here last offseason, wanted to actually go back to the Bruins, but if we COULD get him...would you swap?

Hate to say it, if we're still doing internal cap stuff, we're fooooooked.

Absolutely false. They aren’t a cap team.

Managing cap for future contracts maybe like JJ and Quinn extensions. But pegula is willing to spend.
