The Athletic's Murat Ates reported the Jets had previously floated 28-year-old winger, Nikolaj Ehlers, in the trade market. It was suggested he could be used as a trade chip to add a top-four defenseman to the Jets' blueline. The Buffalo Sabres, Ottawa Senators, Utah, Washington Capitals and New York Islanders were suggested as possible trade partners.
Ates, meanwhile, maintained his belief that the Jets intend to move Ehlers before the draft. He thinks their asking price could be a first-round pick and a good young non-elite player.
Trade 11, Sammy and whatever else (reasonably) it costs to grab Ehlers and Adam Lowry from the Jets.

Sabres are gonna roll out one of the more expensive Dcore in the League. And we still don't know who plays with who! - Buff36
I get the concern, however it is not entirely unusual to have pairings change and I think we are going to see a fair bit of it depending on the game situation

No it's not unusual to change, but it is unusual to do that when you don't know who plays well together yet. Sabres don't really have the luxury to say Hey if they aren't working I know if I put such and such together I got something that matches up
And that's a big ? to me when you have almost 30mill invested
