E-EK would be great. However he plays a with Kaprisov and Boldy... two premium players. He would fit in great with the Sabres top 6 no doubt.
I just wouldn't rape the existing roster to acquire him by overpaying as was suggested with Cozens++. Use Prospects and Picks.. if not, move along - IonSabres
That is the point.
They are not trading him unless it's an overpay, and that would be Cozens from Buffalo. |

If they give us Ek they can fit Skinner.

One guys a bottom line player another is a top 9 maybe top 6. They play opposite sides. Shouldn't even be compared. - DirtyDan
Hartman is a bottom 6 guy imo |

Him and Bennett are top-end bottom 6 guys in my book. They are what some people think Girgensons is. I wouldnât play either of them on my 2nd line. |

Bennet plays line 2 for a Cup team though...
Hartman yeah ideally your RW3 but he can move up if need be. Had 67 pts a couple years ago. Doubt he does that again but he did do it. |

Look at it from the other team's perspective.
What would be a reason they'd want to trade Eriksson Ek?
They'd want to get a younger Center with upside who is already locked in a long term deal, ideally.
They'd want Cozens plus, because he's not proven yet and a bigger cap hit.
Remember, they're a team consistently trying to make the playoffs.
They're not a tanking team. - kingcong39
Doesn't mean you give them their ask..
It obviously has to make complete sense for the Sabres. I would say Cozens as a trade asset doesn't. |

Their GM and management does not run the team with a quick reset mentality.
It's why a trade of Eriksson Ek to Buffalo doesn't make sense. - kingcong39
Fair enough then. In all honesty I didn't know that about Minnie. They have enough pieces to make the playoffs there, but won't go far. I would think they'd be more open to a retool, but if not, scratch every player on their team off the list. Any similar team should be too. As I'm sure you agree, we don't need fit swaps, we need to get better. |

Totally agree.
It's why Savoie and the 11th overall wouldn't be what Minnesota is looking for.
It's why I like the idea of a Buchnevich and Hayes big trade to Buffalo. |

I'm losing excitement for Buchy. He's a good player but I'm scared of the contract. I'd almost rather pay less and acquire him without the extension, so if we fall short again we can sell him at the TDL to recoup. I wouldn't mind centering that trade around one of the big forward prospects, but I was balking at one + 11OA, which may be what is requested. If we're getting Hayes too, as a stop gap center, then fair enough but Savoie + 11OA would be the big chips I'd be willing to offer there. Can add in Neuchev, Krebs, or some other lesser parts, but those should be the bones of the deal IMO. |

Why is Paul Hamilton allowed on the radio?
Listening to this mornings show on the cup final look back segment and he actually said it wasn't the hasek show that playoffs because Dixon ward scored 7 goals that year
Guess the .939 sv% wasn't that important |

The banter is đ
I think Rossi makes sense if Miinie is truly interested, and Johnson (+) going back seems reasonable. Unless they want Ostlund to team up with Ohgren... They were dynamic together |

How often does a player get traded and the return is about a 1st, prospect and âroster playerâ
Eriksson-Ek will get a good return no doubt but itâs not going to be this crazy insane value. It never is.
If itâs two 1s and A prospect so be it. |

Unless Eriksson Ek is forcing his way out, I'm guessing the ask starts with Cozens and the 11th overall, and add from there. - kingcong39
Cozens wouldn't save them any money - if they're trading EE it would ostensibly be to save cash while getting similar production. I actually think Savoie would be more valuable than Cozens in this particular situation |

Hartman makes the most sense, with a little Foligno thrown in, with Rossi being a cost controlled Center for them while navigating their massive dead cap this coming season. |

Reading the Philly blog.
âJohn Tortorella is an organizational cancer, the sooner he's gone, the better.â
They donât see Torts lasting this season.
Another spot where heâs quickly worn out his welcome. |

Unless they'd be making a corresponding additional move, I don't agree.
Savoie doesn't help them make the playoffs the upcoming season, and that's their consistent year to year goal.
They'd have a massive hole to fill with Eriksson Ek leaving and Savoie being the roster player returned. |

I have no idea but that would be the thought process if they were to move him imo |
