30 goals last season , plenty short handed .

7 game winners

Sure, he probably peaked last season , but he’s a prime nhl target.

Maybe Rosen for Coleman?

- Boss34

I can't tell if they're throwing in the towel yet. They have Dustin Wolf after all.

Not quite sure what a guy like Coleman is worth right now. Think you could get away with a 2nd in 24 and a lower grade prospect.

not with the cap going up 15 mil over the next few years

but you have to have a lot of value contracts to round out the roster and you can't piss money away on the comries, e. johnsons, brysons, robinsons, girgens, okposos, olofssons, josts, etc

- homiedclown

I know it's going up, but many contracts will as well. There's always a limit on how much you can spend at a position without causing problems.

Even if you could trade Skinner, extending Andersson and Byram might be more than you can pay a defense.
- Lunaion

Worry about that when you need new contracts. Andersson's got two years.

Probably, but worry about 3 years from know in 3 years. Make your moves and start winning Hockey Games and get into the playoffs. Won't have to overpay and FA might actually come here.

What would you pay if you could only reasonably expect the 2nd best season of his career? 18-20-38

When a 32 year old shoots 60% above his career average, beware.

Buffalo is Buffalo. Even the cup teams had to worry about attracting talent. Yeah winning makes it easier.

Think football is a different animal, guys are more inclined about playing with Josh Allen, playing for Bills Mafia and of course for a perennial playoff team.

Helps we have great football weather.

Hockey being a winter sport, you're spending about the entire season just traveling to rinks to and from the airport and it's so much drearier.

You want to attract talent, start looking like the Maple Leafs, at the least.

Clifton is the least of our worrries , decent nhl vet defenseman. Bottom pair , who played well and actually plays physical.

Already paid the buffatax

oh you mean beyond his current contract? thought you meant they were getting rid of him this year.

Who knows what two years down the road looks like. He finished the year strong, albeit at a third pairing level. But he was a positive player after an abomination of a start.

I’d give Calgary the least valued of

Ostlund
11OA
Rosen

Not kulich or Savoie

I looked at Coleman’s prior seasons, he certainly peaked last year.

Calgary really paid him well at 6 years 30 million

I know that, but when Andersson's contract is up, so is Clifton's. Think I know who I would resign

That may be a cost we'd be more comfortable with given the loss of waiver exemption for Rosey. That being said, I really hope we keep him. Y'all are going to like his game.

I like colemans shorthanded production and speed.

Could really be a decent 3rd liner in a pinch

1, 2, 3 graduated, 4 just signed (AHL bound?), 5 was traded, and the rest is why they're now bottom 10

they used 5 and 8 in part to acquire Markstrom and Meier.

Unless you're Vegas, you're not really trading your top 3 or 4 guys unless your pool looks like the Pens or Islanders.

So for Kevyn to trade the likes of our recent 1st round picks, it would be a rare move.

- TheSabresTaco

Power
Quinn
Peterka
Benson - this should by R Johnson but Adams cannot construct an NHL roster properly.

with Levi knocking on the door.

This second batch of prospects are a unique situation because no other GM would put themselves in this scenario.

It was right to use these as trade bait in 22' were heading into 24/25' and still discussing what to do with them while the NHL roster has major holes.

I'd be more interested if he put up his normal 31 points instead. He's expensive for that and the cost wouldn't have been too high.

A couple of these prospects will be moved, probably not enough to make 36 happy though.

Ostlund
Savoie
Rosen
Kulich
Rj
Levi
11 OA

I’d say 2 will be moved to upgrade the current roster

interesting pairings. he was pretty bad on defense this year. I've kinda soured on the andersson idea. think it costs you more than it's actually worth. think you have one shot at a big trade and one shot at a medium trade, based on current assets. im not quite sure either of those should be for a defenseman.
