Where does Mike Weber fit? - ImThatGuy
Rochester. He fits in Rochester.
But I should've made room for McKee. |

And you have no concern paying him 4.9m and a 1st round asset for that? - Lunaion
I’m trying to get some nhl proven vets with some grit and pk skills.
4.9 is 2 million more than girgs most likely.
Coleman brings way more than girgs |

I'd be more interested if he put up his normal 31 points instead. He's expensive for that and the cost wouldn't have been too high. - Lunaion
yeah I think his contract creates a discount for the actual player.

There's a 0% chance they are trading Eriksson-Ek
Makes no sense

Especially if they BO Skinner.. although that year 3 BO amt for Skinner hits when it is time to re-up Anderson. - IonSabres
Andersson and Tuch both would need extensions that season. |

man, the 2018 draft was riddled with garbage in the 1st round. Not to mention the then-massive reach for Dellandrea at 13.

Even if you could trade Skinner, extending Andersson and Byram might be more than you can pay a defense. - Lunaion
The one way that may make it palatable paying big money to Dahlin, Power, Byram and Andersson would be to have a near league minimum or ELC pay scale for the 3rd pair and 7th D, which means moving both Samuelsson and Clifton.
Not even sure it works then. |

It would be the highest paid D in the league, right? Aren't they 3rd right now?

Dellandrea wasn’t on an ELC.
Harley, Johnston, Stankoven, Lundqvist were the ELC players |

30 goals last season , plenty short handed .
7 game winners
Sure, he probably peaked last season , but he’s a prime nhl target.
Maybe Rosen for Coleman? - Boss34
The Sabres trading a lot for a player at their high point is a move we've seen before multiple times.
Yes, Coleman scored 30 last season, which is 4 less than his prior 2 seasons combined.
Look at his prior seasons.
You think he's a consistent 30 goal scorer? At his age?

S% the last 3 seasons:
7.5
9.6
15.7
Should be over 20% next season.

I’ve looked at Coleman’s stats.
I’d guess 18 goals 35/40 points next season
Hard to argue that Coleman wouldn’t be one of our best bottom 6 players with experience and grit
I especially like his shorthanded ability and plus/minus vs Girgensons

Agreed:
Adam’s just paid both guys good money. He really likes both of them - Boss34
Your top level teams don't let bad or questionable decisions linger.
Look at Florida and Vegas.
They don't just sit on players because they recently signed them.
They constantly look for opportunities to attack improving the roster.
They are cutthroat, and it works. |
