Bad teams overly worry about the cap.
Good teams understand it's not a concern because they know they'll always figure it out. - kingcong39
I mentioned that in the last blog that current NHL gms are too old school.
Vegas, Florida, and Tampa circumvented the salary cap with players on IR. No fines no draft picks taken etc. AND teams might be mad but they still trade with them.
Offer sheeting players - Go for it.
Bring the salary broker for trades and gain more picks.
2nd round picks and on should have little to no value. Use them as trade pieces.
A 3rd round pick has a 33% chance of even playing an nhl game.
Or my new favorite. Adams or every Gm signing players who are veterans that bring “leadership” but their games have fallen off a cliff. What an old school mentality to sign someone like that.
I could go on and on. |

Girgensons is a solid nhl player , just 30 years old.
If okposo can play in the cup on the best nhl team, Girgensons has another 5 nhl years left .
Above minimum imo - Boss34
Okposo has run his course. Everyone loves him, but this team was better before acquiring him. Put Cousins back in and let’s go play Panthers hockey and find a way to earn one more W. (This is not an attack on Okposo, is just how I’ve seen it all along). They win with Okposo in the lineup, so what, him being in there isn’t why they won. Time to sit him and get back to more of what got them here. No one can argue that things look differently lately, idk what exactly, but they are off, and it is noticeable. |

After last nights performance, it's safe to say we will not be seeing Okposo in another game for the Panthers. - washedup20
Should’ve been out long ago. He brings nothing to the Panthers that they didn’t already have. He’s slow as (frank) and the adrenaline rush has worn off. They were a better team before adding Okposo and shoehorning him into the lineup. |

Now imagine him as your captain, getting time on the 1st line.

Ive been rooting for Florida from the start but if there was any reason id want Florida to lose its okposo. Im not sure why he stayed in the lineup after game 4
I think the something being off is trying to stop the best player in the world. Still think Florida gets it done but anything can happen with McDavid doing McDavid things |

Yes, there is.
You continuously overlook many mitigating factors that spreadsheets aren’t useful to explain. It is what it is, and talking to you about it is a waste of breath and ink because you are convinced that you already know all that there is to know. |
