It's tough to make an opinion on those guys, specifically thompson and cozens, because of all the self induced chaos this team faced this year. Ruff is a historically good coach who gets a lot out of his players. The team will be different and I want to see how Thompson and Cozens perform under a new coach.

I'm not truly opposed to trading any of them, as unlikely as it would be. Not like Edmonton traded their two guys, and they had a lot of trouble prior to this season.

If you look back at the rosters Lindy had, outside of goaltending obviously, he will have a substantially better roster to work with than even the one that took us to the SC Finals in 99. In that hear he had 1 60pt player (Satan), 1 50pt player (C. Brown) and 2 40pt players (Peca/Barnes). Yes, Hasek was a miracle worker, but even without him, I'd be very surprised if he can't make the playoffs with the talent he has now.

a baked potato in a suit jacket could coach a team with Hasek in his prime. if you had a full team of Larrys and Hasek you are making the playoffs every year. Lindy had both Hasek and Miller. he will go nowhere with us without a goalie, and i am still not convinced upl is the answer.

Saw an interesting proposal of Skinner for Palat straight up. Makes some sense for both sides and NJ probably isn't bad so I mean it's possible.

CBJ probably needs to be bribed. Ehlers, one year UFA winger, I bet you can do Buffalo 2 and prospect or 1st in 25 top 12.

The assets are there to do these moves.
