like it or not skinner is generally a dependable 50-70 point player. You don't just buy him out and stick Matt Savoie in there and hope for the best during a "we need to win" season. I know he won't do it. With a buyout will almost certainly come another shoe, who can score and is a better player.

I'm sure as hell not.

Almost everything went wrong last season. Definitely shouldn't assume that will happen again. Have to think they'll respond well to a new coach. Hearing all the postseason stuff really makes you wonder why they didn't pull the trigger when it could have saved last season.

Similar question during the 2nd half of the 22-23 season and at the deadline when they did nothing impactful while multiple players were having career years.

They tried to make trades last offseason too. I'm betting they went through at least half a dozen options before Clifton. Always a fear that they'll miss out and left with more Cliftons and Girgensons.

He turned out that way, seems they signed him hoping he could do more. And unfortunately it didn't happen. Think that it's difficult for Dman to add minutes, especially if they expected him 2nd pair.
