I’ll take the Adams is patient again/ under

There’s plenty of work to complete this roster , I’m expecting a forward or 2 and trading joker .

Maybe add another Clifton on defense to have (4) 3rd pair defenders

Is there a Reason to be patient right now Boss ? There's good Hockey players available that can Help this Team take the next step.

Sabres gonna Sabre in my opinion

The defense is already overpriced and full of bottom line guys that would actually be available. So I’m not seeing anything significant.

Goalie seems set

I think skinner sticks around so there’s one less open spot and possibly you know who.

Reason could be as simple as he believes in his prospects and that they are either ready or will be in the next year.

Adams has the ammo (either on the big club, prospects or picks) to make almost any trade he wants. Gotta have a partner, though.

We really don't know who's "available". 99% of these rumor guys are complete, utter bullsh!t and they just make sh!t up.

Again, though, I agree. Sac up and make this team better. Any trade worth a salt is going to hurt. You've just got to make the deal and live with it.

How much would the Flyers need to retain to make Couturier a viable option?

He's turning 32 this December and has 6 seasons left on his deal.

They're already retaining on Hayes for this season and next.

the contract is the issue. If he I could get him for 2 years, I am fine with that.

I'd say most of them. But if there's a trade offer that comes across your table, anyone on that list, minus Dahlin (just my opinion), is available.

And if the Senators call back and say, OK, Brady is yours, but I want Peterka and 11...see ya, JJ.

I don't get the "too long" narrative. Right or wrong, his mistakes in the previous years were not wanting to make more moves. It isn't like he came out and said "I wanted to make moves but they weren't there". His patience was intentional.

Agreed

I do feel like that’s “the core” moving forward under Adams . His safe side, makes me pessimistic about any significant trade.

I’d give power for Brady tkachuck

In any logically run organization that priorities winning, he'd be fired before seeing that come to fruition.

But question: Do you really believe in the prospects that are not in the NHL?

All I see is middle six and bottom 4 potential.

Curious about weather adams (in his time here) has made more or less trades than the nhl medium ?

Feels like he’s made an adequate amount

Sometimes as a GM, you have to make the market, and not wait for the market to be set by others.

Adams seems overly riskaverse and head over heels in love with his prospects.

He says he's ready to start moving some of them.

Let's see what he actually does.

Based on his UFA decisions, I'm terrified of the trades he's going to make.

Adams has got to hit on the teams that are rebuilding or looking to shed salary. Those are the teams that want the picks and the kids.

I'd give Power for Brady, too. And I really like Power. That's a one for one. Then you hope Carter Yakemchuk falls to you, and it doesn't sting so much.

Wait to long in getting D help or goalie and missing the playoffs by 1 point. Watching players get scooped that could have helped us last offseason and instead bringing back Girgensons and Okposo, Jost Etc. We have a Plethora of Prospects, too many actually. What are we waiting for ?

How about volume of organization signings?

Taco has shared before that they haven't made one signing since the Power deal.

The landscape of unemployed former GM's is littered with stories of how many awesome deals they were close to, but were never able to close.

Adams needs more of this mentality:

Idk, I like the Byram trade.

Of course he's in love with his prospects. Most teams are. You spend so much money and time in drafting, investing in, developing, etc them.

You see a bunch of middle sixers, but why is their prospect pool ranked at or near the top by numerous publications?

He can hang onto these prospects and picks, but if they miss the playoffs again, those picks and prospects become the next GMs "problem". I'm hoping he finds some balls of steel here and gets this fan base excited again.

I don't know about that. If you make 5 1sts in two years, I'd say your plan is based on them as part of it. They didn't have to trade for all those picks, or make them. Once you make the picks, it isn't that easy to get away from them.

I've always been concerned about building around LD and lacking a high end F. That has only increased. I'm not sure there's a move available to them that changes that this offseason.

F@cking excuses on here get ridiculous, yes let's keep Waiting for our Prospects to hopefully hit while Dahlin, Cozens and Tuch say they have had enough.
