That’s good news. We haven’t missed anything

If you're having trouble finding a trade partner, you have two options:

1. Offer more
2. Don't make a trade

perhaps a team that needs to make the playoffs and has a zillion picks and prospects should offer more

I’m just surprised how underrated Erod seems to be even after the playoffs he just had

What’s wrong with Erod ?

Guy was arguably Florida’s most impactful forward in the Stanley Cup final.

Swiss Army knife analytical darling that drives transition. Has strong possession numbers and is a plus playmaker.

We complaining if Helenius is a good second line forward on a cup winning team ?

We have signed defenseman Kale Clague to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000.

probably because he was a castoff from our team during the draught

I thought he was fine

comparing your first round pick to an undrafted player is not a good vibe story 2 hours later IMO

The irony is that Erod is a good Helenius comp.

No disrespect, he was maybe the 10th most important Panther. Being generous. Feel free to disagree.

I would rather have a little jam than joker, okposo, girgens, etc

when someone cheap shots dahlin, someone needs to stand up and unless your bringing back Dalton Smith, Tampa is gonna own us again

First rounders are close to second rounders might as well be UDFAs.

Honestly not a knock on him, I’m sure he’s a fine player, the fireworks promised turned out to be snaps, again, and the same people claiming they were M 80s were doing so last year. And the year before, and the one before that. If you think there’s a solid “future” put your name attached to when they’ll be good, not they’ll be good someday because of x thing.

Helenius has been compared to Sebastian Aho for a ceiling and Artturi Lehkonen for a floor.

To compare Helenius to ERod is just ridiculous.

After rechecking Fla roster, I was indeed generous. Drafting the 10th at best player on your squad is a good thing in the top half of the first round? Woof talk about lowering the bar

He had 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in 7 games and was a +6 in the final against Edmonton.

I think we all were hoping for a trade this evening for immediate help.

In a vacuum, Helenius was a good pick, one that would be celebrated had the parent roster not been in the midst of a 13 year playoff drought.

Now Adams needs to get to work and figure out how to make this team better in the present

Bob was clearly important.
Tarasenko was clearly more important
Sam had the clinching GWG
Barkov- nuff said
3 d in Ekblad, Montour, and Forsling held McJesus and Drai in check
Verhaeghe scored when it mattered
Tkachuk, Lundell, Loustarinen, and Erod were all in the next grouping.

Btw, Erod doubled is point production in 7 SC games vs 8 point in 17 other games. As the trend guy, which one is more in line with the player?

Fair enough. I don’t want to knock the kid, maybe he’s Aho. Hopefully so. Immediate help was the preference

Erod producing more points when in a top 6 role than when he was on the 3rd line minutes with Lundell/Stenlund and Luostarinen doesn’t surprise me.

Regardless, Helenius is a player I think Sabres fans will really enjoy once they get over the fact the pick wasn’t involved in a trade.

Kevyn Adams: " ... we were aggressive and there weren't trades that we could get other teams to agree to. ... we're going to do everything we can to make our roster better."

Sounding more and more desperate as the walls close in

In a perfect world, if the offensive upside translates and he hits his ceiling i think the comp is Elias Lindholm (prime Elias not the broken down version of the last two seasons)

That’s fine. He might be. Like I said, those last 3 years of TT and Dahlin better be worth the squeeze.

When do we collectively get the pitchforks ready to hunt down Adams?

Do we have to wait until the season begins?

After 50 games?

The trade deadline?

Next offseason?

Never. The timeline continuously gets pushed back after the next excuse is made.
