Hockey will work in Arizona.
- washedup20

I think it would have worked there and in Atlanta if the teams hadn't been historically bad. It wasn't that long ago when we said that it wouldn't work in Florida.....

I think I'm mostly interested to see what our top prospects are worth. There will be a lot of context to break down.

That would be a good move, I think Kane wants the Rangers if they'll take him, from what I've red.

His estimated Career earnings are $115,637,195. At this point I doubt money influences him, but you never know.

The Rags can't touch that contract without moving out several players. They are foolishly going to sign Shesterkin to a ridiculously large contract.

Wild that the NBA got better after Gary but the NHL thinks he has grown a game that has actually gotten less popular while he’s been in charge.
- Jet Jaguar BD

I think it depends on how you define the word "grow". It is way more profitable now and I don't think there are any bad franchises. it just could be so much better with another commish. Leaving ESPN (even if it cost them a little money in the short term) was a mistake.

If anyone is looking for good hockey content, I highly recommend this series. This guy takes a team from the recent past and breaks down their season. The storytelling and production are excellent.

In this one, he broke down the 2003-04 Avalanche. It is hard to believe a team with that many future Hall of Famers could be so mediocre for much of the year.

Yup that 6 million dollar cap hit hurts year 3. I don’t think there is any way out of it.

Gerbe said 2-3 week ago that skinner gets traded and not bought out. As of right now, the Sabres will have 48 hours to buy him out or not.

(Once the cup is won. Teams have 48 hours)

Would be hilarious if there are so many overtimes that the game extends to 7/1 and Adams is stuck with Skinner again on a technicality.

He'd be right around the 23rd highest paid tender next year on that contract. IMO that's pretty fair. No?

Is there really a better comp? I think that is in the neighborhood of what we thought he would get.

I believe it’s game 7 tonight. Not sure. Usually the playoffs end after the cup is won

I don't love it but if that's what Woll gets, it's hard to argue UPL should get less

IMHO - ESPN should not be allowed to do any hockey. The in-game product is horrible.

They may get a 2nd buyout window as well. Need someone to file for arb.

Sure, that's a different question. But you can't tell me that the small cash grab to go to the Outdoor Life Network away from ESPN was a smart one. They became an afterthought on Sportscenter when that happened.

It is going to be a short period anyway. One would think minds have already been made up and so it could last 30 minutes and be enough time.

6/24 at 10:45pm + 48 hrs = Wed 6/26 10:45 pm the BO period starts and goes until Sunday 6/30 at 5:00pm.

I'll be in Italy enjoying the sights, food and the Mediterranean Sea and Beach. (frank) Kevyn. Lol

Well, sure, that's the point. Success can be defined in a lot of ways. The league can be more profitable but less popular. The game has gown financially under Bettman's watch, but that certainly isn't the whole story.

So we're one of 78 teams that called about Zegras...

Am I the only one who thinks that would be a silly move at this point? Seems redundant.
