It’s the equivalent of Lewis Hamilton not being able to reverse park into a parking space in an empty parking lot.

He knocks every draft out of the park which is the hardest part of the gig but can’t do at the professional level what a beady eyed drunk could accomplish.

I agree, I want moves and new players. But to overpay for 1 year of a player is tough and I can’t be too mad at a GM for not wanting to set the franchise back. Honestly, NHL is getting silly with expected trade values and these contracts. Most end up being bad value before the end of the contract. But getting a younger guy with term might be the way. I like the Ehlers idea, but he might want an 8 year deal at high price. Should be consider that? I’m more of a bridge / work for your next contract kind of person.
