I agree, I want moves and new players. But to overpay for 1 year of a player is tough and I can’t be too mad at a GM for not wanting to set the franchise back. Honestly, NHL is getting silly with expected trade values and these contracts. Most end up being bad value before the end of the contract. But getting a younger guy with term might be the way. I like the Ehlers idea, but he might want an 8 year deal at high price. Should be consider that? I’m more of a bridge / work for your next contract kind of person.

Holtz didn't seem to get much of a chance but if he can figure it out he can still be an effective player but not what he was expected. He still has a very good shot it's just sometimes it took him too long to set up or be in the right spot and he wasn't great defensively
