I think that makes a ton of sense. I think if you make that move and bring back Bryson as 7D, you're all set on D. I know people were down on Clifton - I actually thought he got better as the year went along. The whole year was such a train wreck - its so hard to know what to put stock in, good or bad.

Agreed, he had me disappointed early on, but came out of it...started when he played back on the right after EJ chang3d and took the left. He's pricey for a 3rd Pair though. His contract expires when Skinner's $6.4m BO Cap Hit starts in 3 years...good thing the Pipeline should yield a young D on an ECL then.

But to the original point, it seems easy to avoid the stupid mistakes. How many times do we see a signing or trade and know instantly that it was a giant mistake? It happens all of the time.
