All true. Who is due for a contract that year? Are we cup contenders and want to hang into him for a push?

Going back to the "it can't be that hard to be a gm" conversation, many gms like adams and Darcy fall love with their prospects. Others make the same mistake with vets. That is one of the things that belichek taught us - don't get sentimental.

(Yes, I know adams also inexplicably fell in love with 2 vets)
