i sent a thank you letter to biden this past spring cause my tax returns were over 10k
- TheSabresTaco

Ya, get ready for when he allows Trumps tax cuts “for the rich” to expire…will cost the average joe $1,500 more in taxes.just so he can spend more and keep inflation high

I have been here saying for over 6 months Jenner isn't going anywhere. They absolutely love him down there. The fans, the organization, the locker room.

He is 100% what this team needs, though.

Does the blogger get paid twice for this?

Once for the oilers blog and once for us keeping the hits coming despite nothing relevant on the sabres for months now

True, its easy to identify this....what do you think his worst move has been?
- washedup20

lol

my vote is 1x3.25 for EJ. Plenty to pick from though. Cody Eakin 2x2.25 is a close 2nd. At least that one had a shred of merit prior to signing.

I tried to avoid general blunders in my response, but yeah the handling of Eichel, 'bringing back the band' and becoming GM are three great picks

He's got a eye for talent, it's the other parts he's failing in

That's great value for a pending UFA. Not sure what WPG does.

Chad's 'what i think he does' build is alright and certainly more aggressive than he's ever been, which is his publicly stated goal. (fwiw pagnotta says PHI is shopping Farabee) but it's still a bit underwhelming. Sign a banger like Joshua/Carrier etc and let a prospect fight for Greenway's minutes in camp.

also says Buffalo among other teams have a serious interest in Zegras.

I wonder if Chicago would entertain a Skinner trade. They need a top 6 winger and have a ton of cap for the next few years.

Yerdon said Buffalo already offered Girgensons a Contract. I really hope he doesn't come back, it's time to turn the page on him. You want to change the bad culture, well cut the head of the snake that has had a hand in it.

Think we have to look for decent players, maybe not the biggest name willing to come here. Adams has his hands full in that respect.

If Skinner gets bought out, and then signs a new contract, won't he will make more money?

That would be my guess as to what he does.

So, let's say, last year the Sabres did the Cat and Chychrun trades. Now Cat wants to be traded and so does Chychrun.

Would you rather have Benson and Savoie, or rather have tried and failed with Cat and Chiquorin

Really a toss up and depends on how well he does. He needs to make up about 7.4M. He isn't signing for that in a year obviously. He's unlikely to get a long term deal as well. If he signs 1x4M, he needs to have a strong year so he gets resigned. Unfortunately, in this league, if he has some 30pt year, he could be hard pressed to get another deal beyond 1-2M. If he does well, he could get more. So I think the question is whether or not Jeff wants to bet on himself, at his age.

failed with Cat and Chiq, both will bring in higher returns than Benson/Savoie.

Prop A
Skinner gets bought out of his 22M remaining contract and receives 14.67M, so he loses a total of 7.33M, or about 2.44M per year. To make the numbers easy let's just assume celery=cap. So if he signs any deal for over 2.44M (for 3 years), he gets his full celery.

He re-signs a new deal maybe 3 years, 5M per.

Prop B
Skinner gets traded.

It's more economical for him/his agent if he gets bought out. It's almost a sure thing vs waiving for a trade.
