If adams traded for a goalie of ullmarks caliber 2 years ago we are not having this conversation. Ottawa did what was right for them and didn't pay too much to do it. Our gm won't pay any price to help make the team better now, instead overpaying by trade and free agency for pieces that have not helped the team win hockey games

I don't know who you are talking about. Either way, I'll clue you in on a little secret if you promise not to tell anyone: the good teams let their prospects cook in the minors. You know, like we did in 2003.

It's not about the drafts, it's about using those prospects you do draft properly to help your big Club WIN. Whether it be with the team, in a trade or in Rochester. He is slow to helping the Sabres WIN

He is expensive, but if they get the play he showed in LA during a short stint, they got a good deal. IMO, Korpisalo's numbers have been down due to the teams he's been on. CLB and OTT do goalies no favors, BOS does. I think it's pretty likely that their numbers are similar, meaning they got a 1st, $1M in space and more for a fairly clean swap.

Nobody is offering backhanded defenses of the GM (whatever that is). He either gets it done this week or he doesn't. He has surely made mistakes - the debate is around whether he is good enough going forward or if he should be shown the door.
