So Granato should’ve stayed and he wasn’t the problem?
Granato was in charge of the PP, the lines, and the day to day.
Granato pounded the desk for greenway.
Granato chose to play Erik Johnson over Ryan Johnson. Even though Ryan was much better.
Granato chose to give greenway and Okposo top 6 to top 9 minutes
I could go on and on ….. but that’s on Adams? - Sabretooth9
Was adams granatos boss or not?
Adams is just as if not more responsible

Exactly why I had a good laugh when you decided to make Ottawa the talking point this morning.
They are the perfect example of failed asset management |

No decent player is coming to buffalo 2 years ago after the Eichel poop show trades and unloading.
“Hey player Xxxx. You are going to play with 18,19, and 20year olds and play as the youngest team in the league. We have no clue if they will be good or bad”
But please sign here - Sabretooth9

Ottawa immediately got better with that trade
Last two teams to win have built their rosters primarily through trade and free agency
Without bobrovsky its probably Edmonton in 5 - ieetbred

How many picks are successful this quickly into their careers? The #1 overall pick just broke out last year... his 4th season... Quinn has played "2" - DirtyDan
If on the off chance his career is derailed by injuries, that doesn't automatically make him a bad pick. The dude is crazy talented, and I think he can score 40 in this league while playing great D. I wasn't thrilled with it at the time, but I'd make that pick again today in a re-draft.

I mean their franchise is doomed.
Just like Floridas….
Everyone who doesn’t have a prospect and employ Adams is doomed. |

Oh man, I totally forgot it's "they got better!" week.

Ottawa wins every where but the standings.
Let’s see what they get for Chychrun after what they gave up to get him.
But hey Dorion was active or something |

Being envious of an active GM is fine.

What standings its the offseason?
They got a goalie who has proven to be above average in any system. Something they sorely lacked last season |

Was scratching my head at who tf we took. Wasn't even on my radar at the time. I would agree tho I'd make that pick again.
Kid just needs to stay healthy. Got a better ppg than JJ currently does.

Casey Mittelstadt, signed 3x$5.75M by COL, is a playmaking two-way centre. Not particularly speedy or physical but plays a smart pass-first brand of hockey that should make him a long-term fit at 2C for the Avs. |

Nobody is offering backhanded defenses of the GM (whatever that is). He either gets it done this week or he doesn't. He has surely made mistakes - the debate is around whether he is good enough going forward or if he should be shown the door. - Slump Buster
Any time anyone criticizes a move of another team, ones that quite obviously involve good players it is an indirect defense of our gm who has been completely unwilling to make any moves of significant despite the team showing they were ready 18 months ago |

Which is why saying Adams is a good drafter is premature

Well, no. There seems to be an assumption that every single move made by any other team implies that they are closer to winning, and that lack of moves implies that you are further away from winning. Its poor logic, and at times the narratives run crazy.
For better or worse, Adams chose to run it back last year. It was intentional and not being "lazy". We all agree that it was much too passive.

Is it really much of a debate? He didn't get the job on merit and his performance would have him fired most places. After his comments about how early he knew their were major problems last season, it's surprising he's still around. Pegula from a few years earlier would have fired him.
