All that was said was that the core of most teams starts with drafting. It doesn't mean that you can't trade those players, and it doesn't mean that is the only way to build. It depends on what version of Tage you think you have. If memory serves me, his defense was actually pretty good last year. If you can get a guy that scores 40 goals and plays respectable D, what more do you want out of a top C? Auston Mathews called him the most underrated player in the league 2 years ago. He may not be a 47 goal scorer, but I still think he is much more than last year (and we saw it at the end of the year).

I think Peterka and Tuch are 35 goal guys. What more do you want?

He's realistically a 60-70 point guy. I think he came back down to Earth a little last year. I hope he is a .ppg player but yeah, highly doubtful.
