I took a quick look at Colardo's build. People forget just how bad they were, and for how long it lasted.

- One playoff appearance in seven years (first round loss)
- No playoffs the first three years of Sacic's tenure
- The current coach did not get past the 2nd round in his first 5 years (missed the playoffs once, lost in first round twice).

There is no bigger statement here. It is just a little surprising that their organization was as patient as they were (especially with the coach).

Where do they rank as a team for 1/2C? If you're optimistic, and ignore last year, average?

I've been giving some poop to Evolving Hockey on some of their contract projections (like Joe Pavelski 3 years 7.4M). However, they're usually pretty spot on for the mid and lower tier contracts.
