Look at our division - how many teams would you definitively trade our centers for their top two?

- Bruins: hell no

I still say we are in the bottom 12 for top 2 centers as of now and as a group of top 3 centers, probably bottom 8 in the league

they flat out suck on the dot

I think our 3 biggest disappointments on the ice last year was tage, cozens and power

you could say our best center got shipped out west because we overpaid the other 2 guys before he was due a long term contract

We shipped out our most productive center. If he was our best, we are in trouble. As others have said, I think we are fine at center. Its a hell of a lot easier to try to find 3C and 4C.

I’m not in the least concerned at center 1 and 2. Nor the 4lw.

Both are very good players and signed long term

I’ll worry about finding a 3c like Sam Bennett and a couple other upgrades at forward .

Maybe upgrade the 4th line center who played 80 games and scored 4 goals?

most of the teams in the final 8, had great players though and unless in the right system, our centers are never going to be great

I would have moved one of the 3 to wing and kept casey, esp if buying out skinner is in the cards

I'll do the same thing with playoff teams. A "yes" means that we would trade our top centers for theirs.

Florida - Yes, but I don't love Bennett as 2C
Boston - No
Toronto - Yes, because of Matthews
Rangers - push (probably a small edge to Rags, but their guys are older)
Carolina - No
Islanders - No
Tampa - Yes
Washington - No

Dallas - Yes
Winnipeg - No
Colorado - Yes
Vancouver - Yes, but I don't love Petterson
