I wouldn't mind easing 1 in a year. It'll stagger contracts a bit and make it where you aren't leaning on all at once. But I get where you're coming from, need some internal competition so no one is just handed a spot.

Hockey was nonexistent down here before Gretzky went to LA. Went more than 10 years out of touch with the Sabres, and the Panthers brought hockey to me in South Florida. You’re damn right I support them. I grew up in Phinland loudly rooting for the Bills.

Something to remember at the time of the skinner contract. I think the Sabres flyers with Hayes and 1 more team all gave out huge contracts.

Then 2-3 days later the NHL announced the salary cap was remaining the same when the cap was supposed to go up 2-3 million. It didn’t.

Then Covid happen and froze the salary cap for 2-3 more years.

While I agree he was overpaid by 2 million.
