Will be very interesting to see the usage for sure. Also, if there's any tweaks to his breakout/d-zone coverage. Does he go back to pushing the stretch pass from the D to spring transition? Lots of questions but it's nice as I have 1000x more faith in Lindy than Donny, as you suggest, better wondering than knowing it'll be bad.
- QuinnFan

Donnie only had one system. Imagine that frustrated the hell out of the players knowing traps were going to eat them alive. At least we know Lindy can adapt.

^^

Korpi on bad teams (CLB/OTT): .890-.911sv%, Approx 3.0GAA
Korpi on good teams (TOR/LA): .914-921sv%, Approx 2.5GAA

It's a tale of two tapes. In Boston, if he says, I'd wager he matches the sv% and GAA that Ullmark gets. If he's shipped off it'll depend where he goes.

Throw any goalie in that Bruins system and they will be successful. So I definitely agree with that

Gotta give him a bit.

He’s probably hysterical over having to buy out Jeff Skinner. I can’t imagine the amount of tears right now.

Those are Ullmark's numbers when he plays on a bad team.

Big news from the CHL and USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. Shortly, the creation of the CHL / USA Prospects challenge will be announced. A 2 game series featuring top NHL Draft eligible Canadian players vs top US players from the NTDP. Details to follow.

Quinns better every where but speed IMO. Especially the handles
- DirtyDan

Yeah? I always thought Peterka had good moves. Quinn is no slouch and has better drag moves going to the net. Peterka and his puck control at speed is quite something though.

Were the Bruins bad last year? He pulled off a .915sv% there and an .886 in the post season in those couple games he got into.

The 1-3-1 was just a killer, agreed. That's why I'm hopeful, I think Lindy will make a big difference. Where are you on Lindy vs the other options? Did we get a good fit or was he further down your list?

Ullmark produced those numbers while playing on the horrendous Sabres.

Ville Leino is an awfulk signing.

Connor Clifton was an awful signing.

The guy who's gonna end up top 20 in goals in franchise history was not an awful guy to sign

- sbroads24

Yeah all long term contacts that end in a buyout that was obvious from the start are stupendous value.

Heck of a cope

True, but he's older now as well. I think it's a valid question with Boston. At the very least, we should expect that .915 to decline on Ottawa, no?

Jeff Skinner in a vacuum at 27 was a good as well as necessary signing.

It's too bad he was paid 2M more than he should have been. But he gave us some good years, and also Ralph Kreuger was here.

Because, and I know this is hard for you to understand, only 1 team can win each year. That’s why there’s a Championship.
- Jet Jaguar BD

Right, and the ones that ultimately win do so because they have top 5 roster in the league, heck even that may be underselling it.

They don’t win because after so many playoff appearances they are owed something. As a Buffalo sports fan you’d think you have that down pat by now.

Florida and Edmonton were favourites to go the distance even before the season started for a reason

We've all needed rehab for years now watching this garbage.

The winds are starting to change(?).

I’ve watched the seemingly impossible become glorious reality over the last few seasons. The Sabres days are coming.
