I'm not too sure this narrative is accurate.

I think the biggest factors are, we're paying you 9M to produce 45-50 points on the third line and we need to make this team more difficult to play against.

Lindy had Afinogenov for Christ's sake.

I think there's a factor of him being a completely 1D player that goes into it too. If he's not mass producing at 5v5, he's a useless player. Bad on the powerplay, -i on the PK.

But this whole 'not a Lindy player', to me, is bogus.

Especially if they're seeking a younger Jeff Skinner.

It's cool, and I get it. I am waiting to see what Adams does. I don't agree with the buy out if you don't replace Skinner's Production. Is Necas the right one, I don't know but he's young enough and talented enough to where he could be very good on,the Sabres.

I think if you pick up a guy like him, it's that much more important you find him the right linemates. All these rumored tradable players have warts.

Contract, Age, Ability or lack thereof. Konecny, Ehlers, Necas, Farabee, Zegras, Buchnevich...

That's fair. He probably should at least stop in for a cup of coffee. Wouldn't be horrible to get him in with Ostlund or Kulich, develop some chemistry.
